Late Night with the Devil stars David Dastmalchian as a late night talk show host who is trying to put on a great show before his late night segment gets cancelled when the night goes awry. I am so impressed with this film and surprised that I’ve never seen anything like this done before. It was such a cool concept executed in a very engaging way as the whole film feels like you are watching a tape of an old late night show that had went off the walls in a terrible way. The entire time I just kept thinking “this is so uniquely done” and I had a blast with this film. It was well written and the build up to the final act is interesting and it pays off with a completely bonkers finale with some excellent but foreseeable twists. Dastmalchian gives a solid performance as this charismatic but somewhat mysterious late night show host and you can feel his eagerness to not get the show cancelled. The film itself, while interesting and well written, can definitely feel slow as it takes its time to unravel the story and the plot itself can feel generally predictable in the sense that all the suspicions about some characters are easy to figure out to be true or not, though the conclusion made me have to think about it a little bit, it was still easy to follow which made me feel like I was waiting for something more. Nonetheless, while it felt like there was something missing, this was still such an awesome film with a cool concept that was executed really well and packed with great performances, and a solid final act that delves you into this late night show experience. Recensione The Disaster Artist: ovvero come James Franco (sia attore protagonista che regista) ha trasformato il peggior film di sempre in un capolavoro. Nei panni di Tommy Wiseau, un biopic drammatico e comico, su come il regista ha affrontato le giornate sul set fino alla premier. Franco fornisce una performance mimetica mutuando vezzi, accento e quella terrificante risata che accompagna le pubbliche manifestazioni del vampiresco aspirante attore. The Disaster Artist si rivela un’opera ricca e sfaccettata, Sa far ridere ed emozionare. La lezione più duratura che possiamo trarre dal finale oltre l’amore per il cinema nonostante la poca bravura di Wiseau, è che per quanto un film sia brutto, se trova la via per relazionarsi con il pubblico, qualcosa di buono lo deve pur avere. 성수동 영화관 무비랜드는 정말 가고 싶은 공간이었다. " 찬실이는 복도 많지 " 예매 성공 후 달력에 동그라미 빙글빙글 두 바퀴를 그렸었다. 4월 가장 기대의 날이기도 했다. 영화관에서 영화 보는 걸 좋아하는 사람이라면 꼭 한 번 가보길 바란다. 2만원 티켓값으로 풍부한 경험을 할 수 있으니 되려 고마운 마음 ! 찬실이의 행복을 바라며 집으로 가는 길에 그간의 시간을 복기해 본다. 어쩌자고 그렇게 마음을 쏟았을까. 징글징글하게 영화를 많이 봤다. 제일 많이 갔던 영화관은 중앙시네마와 씨네코아. 어지간하면 모두 걸어 다녔던 종로 3가의 서울극장과 단성사 , 충무로의 대한극장 , 대학로의 하이퍼텍나다 , 광화문의 스폰지하우스와 미로스페이스 , 정독도서관 건너편의 시네코드 선재 , 낙원상가의 서울아트시네마 , 그리고 씨네큐브까지. 이제 무비랜드도 시작이다. #movieland

Ordinary Angels stars Alan Ritchson and Hilary Swank in this inspirational drama based on a true story of a young girl who needs a liver transplant and a struggling father trying to make ends meet when an imperfect woman enters their lives to try to help them. I remember seeing the trailer for this movie when I was at the theater and was surprised I hadn’t heard about it before since it looked like a great film and I’ve been excited to see it ever since. Of course, it came out during lent when I wasn’t watching movies so I’ve been playing catch up. I really enjoyed this movie and found it to be such an inspiring film about how God can use us and our imperfections for the good of serving others in need and just how a whole community came together to help a child in need. Alan Ritchson is quickly climbing the ladder to be one of my favorite actors working today with so many excellent projects he’s been tied to. He and Hilary Swank are both terrific in this film and they work super well together. They both have moments where they have to display subtle and high levels of emotions as their characters are both very reserved as individuals, and this film really tugged on my heart throughout with several moments where I found myself teary-eyed. The child actors are wonderful and do an amazing job here as well since they really serve as the heart of this film that you’re rooting for. After seeing this movie, I researched and while it seems to be mostly accurate, there were some really big liberties taken for Swank’s character and I will always drop points on a movie for straying from the true events because I would have liked to see the closest envisioning to the real events as possible. But all in all, I appreciate the accuracy of most of it and it makes the story that much more impactful as a reminder that we live to serve others and lift each other up in times of need. Studio 1 ha chiuso ufficialmente i battenti.🥺 Un luogo che ho sempre apprezzato e in cui mi sono soffermato a lungo per osservare i suoi dettagli, e non solo visto come "via di passaggio".🏃🏻♂️ Le sue scenografie Hollywoodiane retrò mi hanno fatto sognare sempre altre epoche, mi mancherà l'ambiente e le "stranezze" che questo edificio conteneva, mi mancheranno le soavi musiche di sottofondo e i grandi cimeli del passato accumulati da anni ed anni.🥺🎶 Ho costruito molti ricordi come ogni luogo a Disneyland Paris, ma come disse Walt: "I parchi non sono un museo, saranno in una continua evoluzione".🏗 Con questa frase do' il mio saluto a Studio 1, il cui ritornerà dal 2025, ma totalmente stravolto rispetto a come lo conosciamo oggi. Oggi si segna la fine di un capitolo, ma se ne sancisce l'apertura di uno nuovo, per il momento "transitorio" che porterà il prossimo anno al cambio del nome del parco (Disney Adventure World) e l'arrivo di espansioni e aree reimmaginate.✨️📖 Grazie per i ricordi Studio 1. ALLA SCOPERTA DI DETTAGLI Berliet In Magma, nei suoi primi anni, venivano usati i camion Berliet GBC 8 KT, un modello di uso prettamente militare 6×6 sviluppato nel 1958 e adatto ad ogni condizione del terreno o climatica. Questi mezzi, usati perlopiù dall'esercito francese, sono stati scelti da Movieland proprio per le loro grandi prestazioni, perfetti per il percorso impervio che si affronta in Magma. 💥💧 Nel 2012 i vecchi Berliet sono stati messi in disuso e sostituiti dai MAN KAT, un'altra categoria di camion fuoristrada prodotta da MAN principalmente per l'esercito tedesco. Al giorno d'oggi i camion Berliet si trovano sparsi in giro per Movieland e anche Caneva. La maggior parte di questi la troviamo nel percorso di Magma, lasciandoli legati ancora oggi a questa iconica attrazione resa celebre grazie a loro. 😍 Nell'ultima foto possiamo vedere un Berliet, in mezzo al Lazy River di Caneva, camuffato a camion della Chiquita... Per me questo parco ha fatto davvero un gran cambiamento migliorando ovviamente in meglio e per questa stagione ha la novita poi bella in Italia.
