The Zone of Interest. This film portrays the time of the holocaust from a completely different angle compared to all other films that have come before it portraying the war time atrocities. We follow German officer Rudolf and his family who live right next to the concentration camps with just a wall separating it from their back garden. You get to hear and imagine what is going on the other side of the wall whilst the family just go about their lives in a very matter of fact kind of way. Although an extremely important topic, my opinion on this film was it was quite drawn out with actually very little plot to the story. Probably worth a watch but don’t expect too much. 6/10 #movie #movies #film #films #boxoffice #cinema #review #moviereview #moviefan #movienerd #movienights #filmlife #movieaddict #cinemalover #cinemagram #filmreviews #cinemacity #cinematime #instamovies #ilovemovies #filmcritic #moviecritic #flicks #filmbuff #moviestowatch #filmcriticism #TheZoneOfInterest #ChristianFriedel #sandrahüller #Holocaust

“The non-linear storytelling and editing by Marco Costa is incredibly effective. There are constant reveals of their relationship and life-changing moments for the characters. The fast cuts and change in perspective felt like the viewer was watching a tennis match between the dialogue with these characters. That’s why it felt like such richness for the senses because all of this, combined with Guadagnino’s direction, made for a perfect sports drama that, in the end, fused the relationship the characters had with tennis and each other.“ - - - - click the #linkinbio👆 for my full review of #ChallengersMovie 🎾🤍 - - - - - - #movies #films #moviereviews #filmreviews #lucaguadagnino #tashiduncan #zendaya #mikefaist #joshoconnor #tennis #artdonaldson #patrickzweig #filmcritic #newreleases

Civil War: B Alex Garland, the writer of Ex Machina and 28 Days Later, returns with his latest depiction of the near future. I went in blind and didn’t know what to expect going into Civil War, but it definitely wasn’t a road-trip movie centered around journalists. We get shown very little of the other players in the war. In this universe, the press are seemingly neutral participants in a divisive civil war. They are battle-hardened and get in the way pretty much any chance they can to get a photo. I found their massive involvement and acceptance among soldiers a little odd, but there seems to be a respect from Garland to those that observe history and record it. The cause of the war itself is left unknown, and as a viewer, you are thrown into the midst of chaos to put together what pieces you can. What we are shown is that war is hell and that sometimes you don’t know why people are trying to kill others. The taking of political sides was kept at a minimum in Civil War, which was interesting and unexpected. The film is not about shedding blame onto one political party or the other, but rather showing what can happen when an ever-escalating culture of division gets to its breaking point. The atmosphere of this movie is perfect; it’s unsettling, haunting, and believable. Garland’s direction was impressive, and the acting was on point, especially from Jesse Plemons. The cinematography and overall production value was just outstanding, with the one exception being the editing. There were some very strange decisions regarding the editing that I thought threw the movie off. Some rushed scenes, odd music choices, and peculiar sequencing made me raise my eyebrow a few times. In the end, Civil War is a solid, recommendable movie! Could it have been executed better? Absolutely. There are so many great ideas on display, but it didn’t all come together quite how I would’ve hoped. The plot left a bit to be desired, but it was a very “cool” movie to observe. The world that Garland created deserves a lot of credit.

I Saw the TV Glow Review 7/10 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿 In 2021, an indie darling emerged in Jane Schoenbrun. Her debut feature, We’re All Going to the World’s Fair, imagined an online game that had consequences for both the mind and body. However, it favored small-scale realism to present a character-driven story. Representing refined focus and a more complex narrative, I Saw the TV Glow has the guts to go tenfold and expand the effects of psychological torment into the real world. Horror films as of late haven’t had much world-building to them, as they delve into plot details even before setting up the surrounding environment. In contrast, this has ample amounts of exposition that takes up a good chunk of the first act. This is partly because the film has more mythology to it in the form of a young-adult TV show that acts as a central catalyst for the relationship among our main characters. Jane once again focuses on drifting individuals who feel disconnected from their present-day reality, yet does more with it by giving them unique personality traits that allow for differentiation. The imagery used is liminal and plain so that the film can capture the general feel of multiple periods without having to delve into specifics. Settings of places and names of locales are intentionally left unambiguous as if to create a sense of confusion and familiarity in the viewer’s mind. Preying on that sense of easiness, the visuals slowly start to get eerie and mind-bending in nature, culminating in off-guard mental hysteria that is never addressed. Best known for his comedic and action-oriented roles, Justice Smith delivers a deep vocal performance that manages to simultaneously fit the tone of the film while also exposing the simplicity of the dialogue. Up until the climax, every line delivered by him has a solemn and sad feel to it. His role is not necessarily emotionally driven, but it works to the film’s advantage. Overall, I Saw the TV Glow manages to capture attention through an odd premise and psychological horror that will leave audiences shocked by the time the credits roll.

‘Back in Black’: A Biopic That Sings a Familiar Tune “Back in Black,” a biopic of the legendary Amy Winehouse, directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson, is a film that dances between tribute and tragedy. Marisa Abela’s portrayal of Winehouse is commendable, capturing the singer’s raw talent and vulnerability. However, the film’s narrative is a patchwork of highs and lows, much like Winehouse’s own life. The film shines in its depiction of Winehouse’s early romance and creative process, yet it shies away from the darker aspects of her story. While it offers a glimpse into her struggles, it does so with a hesitance that leaves the audience yearning for a deeper dive into the complexities of her life. In essence, “Back in Black” is a heartfelt homage that plays it safe, echoing the melodies of Winehouse’s career without fully embracing the dissonance that defined her. #amywinehouse #backtoblack #samtaylorjohnson #filmreviews

'Imaginary’: A Missed Opportunity in Horror Blumhouse’s “Imaginary” aims to explore the dark corners of childhood make-believe but falls short in execution. The film centers around Jessica and her stepdaughters, who encounter a malevolent stuffed bear named Chauncey. While the setup promises a chilling blend of innocence and terror, the film stumbles with a cluttered plot and tepid dialogue. The direction fails to evoke the needed suspense, and the visual style is underwhelming. Despite DeWanda Wise’s earnest performance, “Imaginary” doesn’t quite capture the imagination, leaving viewers wanting more of the horror that never fully materializes. In the end, “Imaginary” feels like a rough sketch of a story that needed more time to come to life. #blumhouse #filmreviews #horrormovies

Infested (France, 2024) ❤️❤️❤️❤️🖤 A bug collector purchases a mysterious foreign spider that rapidly reproduces and takes over his apartment complex. “We’ll die in here!” This was a fun creepy-crawly creature-feature! Here’s why I loved it. ❤️ I’m a spider lover, so the biggest challenge this film faced in my case was finding a way to get under my skin. Because the spiders weren’t ordinary (that’s all I’ll say without giving too much away) it succeeded! ❤️ Also as a spider lover, I was worried that I’d see a lot of ignorance-based spider hate in this film, but instead I saw the exact opposite! I love how they included a character who doesn’t kill animals and explained that spiders are mostly harmless. Too bad he was wrong in this case 😬 ❤️ I really liked the main character, and not just because he also sees the beauty in creatures most people find ugly. He was unique in other ways, like the little detail about him not swearing. ❤️ I liked the backstory behind the characters and their relationships to each other as well as the sense of community they built with other residents in the apartment building. It made for some gut-wrenching moments. 🖤 Some of the character drama ran long. I wanted to see more of the spiders 🕷️ If you’re feeling brave enough, you can catch this one on Shudder 👻 #horror #shudder #horrormovies #horrormovie #shuddersunday #horrorfilm #horrorfilms #movie #movies #film #films #frenchfilm #frenchmovie #moviereview #moviereviews #moviereviewer #moviereviewers #moviereviewsblog #filmreview #filmreviews #filmreviewer #filmreviewers #horrorreview #horrorreviews #horrorreviewer #horrorreviewers #horrorreviewpage #horrorgram #horrorgirl #spiders

Barbenheimer returns with its supporting actors Emily Blant and Rayn Gosling, in the new movie - "The Fall Guy". I went into this movie without any expectations, thinking it would be an action-comedy. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that most of the action scenes were done practically, without CGI or special effects, which really made me appreciate the film more. 'The Fall Guy' isn't an extraordinary film, its plot is quiet simple, without any clever twists. However, its charm lies in its combination of talented actors, humor, and exciting action sequences. This movie is all about having fun! Emily Blant and Rayn Gosling nailed their roles, and their chemistry was fantastic. I hope to see them together again in future projects. Overall, "The Fall Guy" offers a great way to spend your time. It's enjoyable, funny, and the practical action scenes add an extra layer of excitement. If you're looking for something entertaining, this movie is perfect for you!

Actor Highlight Day ❤️ - Hacksaw Ridge - I saw this a few years ago and really enjoyed the film and Andrew's performance it. The fact that it was based off of a true story was mindblowing!. He played Desmond Doss, a man in the army but who refuses to fire a gun, so he becomes a medic who goes on to pull off a miraculous accomplishment. He was honestly so good in this film, it showed the different forms of strength that there are, as he wasn't physically imposing, but mentally he was unbreakable, never compromising his convictions and it makes you respect the character so much because of that ability to stand up for what they believe in. He gave such an emotional and heartfelt performance that i was stunned he never won awards for it!. - Tick Tick Boom - This was a recent watch for me and i absolutely loved it. Which is rare too because i usually avoid musicals, but i loved every moment and song of this one. Andrew played Jonathan Larson in basically a biographical performance. As he transformed his look and mannerisms to match Jonathan's which were spectacularly done. It was another one where i was blown away by his performance, the sheer scope of it, there is moments you are mad at him, feel for him, to hoping for him. I thought he really nailed the role and showed the unique personality and kind of person artists have to be to succeed. That relentless dedication. But too, there were massively emotional moments in the film, one where he performs in the rain after finding out devestating news about a friend in particular really got to me. - The Amazing Spider-Man - I really enjoyed Andrew's portrayal of Peter Parker aka Spiderman. I think its something he brings to each role he does, he just has this genuineness about him and natural charm where you can't not like him. It was also too one of the darker Spiderman stories especially given what happened to MJ. He got to show that incredible emotional side he has to his acting and that ability to portray just a broken man, that gets audiences really emotional. He is truly a brilliant actor and one that never fails to deliver brilliant performances!.

CHALLENGERS 🎾 .

Birb Reviews: Memento Transcript: Memento Release Date: 12 April 2001 Genres: Mystery and Psychological Thriller Studio: Team Todd, I Remember Productions, Llc, Newmarket Capital Group Director: Christopher Nolan Ratings Story: 9.8/10 Characters: 8.8/10 Cinematography: 8/10 Favourite moment: The ending, although it was still confusing Favourite Character: Leonard Final Score: 8.86/10 Personal Enjoyment: 9.3/10 Final Thoughts Part 1: *spoiler warning* When I watched this movie with my dad we were both really confused throughout the whole movie but when we finished the movie and now that I’m thinking about it more, I can understand the events of his wife a bit better now although the movie itself is still a bit confusing. Although the storyline is confusing af, its fairly obvious that the ambiguity was intentional as Christopher Nolan directed this film in reverse order unlike other movies which normally start at the beginning and end at the end but this does the opposite which can give a subjective view on things like you may trust this character and distrust another but someone may feel the opposite and also helps the viewer understand the Leonard as you never know what happened previously to him

So apparently, Netflix greenlit 6 of these movies which will be a trilogy since each instal is a two-parter. Because of this, I’ll rate the first two together. And let me begin by saying that Zack Snyder has officially lost it. Genuinely, Rebel Moon is close to unwatchable. -Especially the second part- I’ve read somewhere how Snyder doesn't craft stories, he crafts moments, and I couldn't agree more. The absolute and utter lack of coherence is honestly impressive at this point. Not a single element except the overarching (overly simplistic, checkpoint-based) story is connected to the next in any way. The whole thing is just a 2 hour long terribly cut-together trailer. Together with this, the dialogue is abhorrent. Like genuinely revolting. As if these shit elements weren't enough, Snyder and his writers don't hesitate to just blatantly rip off “moments” from other franchises. Snyder just takes things from (mainly) Star Wars and Gladiator and says “I like this, I’ll do the same without evaluating its context and meaning. I'm sure it'll work!” I won't even begin talking about the seven samurai ripoffs. Inspiration is fine, it's necessary. But the art of writing and directing lies in knowing what an element means and adapting that meaning to your work, all while giving it your own twist. Snyder doesn't do that. He just copies. Cinematography and sound are okay, I mean that's one thing Snyder isn't shit at. But the editing by god is one of the worst things about this film. It hurts the coherence even more and just aids the convolution. It's a pain to sit through this and honestly, It took a lot of willpower to sit through all of the second part. Even if you're a fan of sci-fi, even if you’re a fan of slow motion (of which Snyder should be banned from using), I doubt you’ll enjoy this utter shit show. I’d rather watch Fast X again than this. And coming from me, that is a harsh insult. • #cinema #cinemalover #cinematography #cinephile #filmdirector #filmreviews #moviereview #moviecritic #filmmaking #movierecomendation #rebelmoonnetflix #netflix #film #review #rebelmoon #filmreview #filmreviews #moviereview #moviereviews #directing #movie #snyder #zacksnyder

Title: Challengers Director: Luca Guadagnino Tashi, a former tennis prodigy turned coach, turned her husband into a champion. But to overcome a losing streak, he needs to face his ex-best friend and Tashi’s ex-boyfriend. I wanted to post about it right after I saw Challengers because ever since the trailer got released I thought that this will definitely be a good one. Not only was there some great acting but the shots were very artsy (is that the word to use… I’m not sure but that’s how it felt to me haha). The soundtrack was perfectly chosen too- I’m definitely a fan of that genre of music, but in my opinion it tied very well as it kept me on the edge of my seat at moments too! Not only was there a very good love triangle, but also some very good tennis drama too. Zendaya delivered a great performance as Tashi and Mike Faist and Josh O’Connor were a great match for their respective characters as well. Overall, Challengers is for sure right up there for me so I’m giving it a solid 4.5/5 ⭐️ . . . . #cinema #cinemalover #cinemalovers #cinematography #cinephile #filmdirector #filmcommunity #filmreview #filmreviews #moviereview #moviereviews #moviereviewer #movielover #movielovers #movierecommendation #filmlife #letterboxd #filmlog #filmedit #challengers #zendaya #mikefaist #joshoconnor

BEST OF APRIL (FILM): I've been watching an unusual number of films this 2024 so far, from a wide range of genres and countries, including several very memorable rewatches (most notably: Martin Scorsese's quirky and underrated 80s classic "After Hours" (1985), and John Huston's "Asphalt Jungle" . . . Nonetheless, for first time watches I cannot recommend highly enough for the serious cinephile two films: "Farewell My Concubine” (1992) – a miracle of Chinese world cinema, truly, and one of the most narratively coherent of huge-scale cinematic epics, taking us from the height of the Peking Opera in Beijing prior to Japanese invasion of the mainland, through to the 1960s and Mao’s Cultural Revolution. Chen Kaige’s 3-hour drama moves at lightning speed with the intensity of the film’s action, emotional pull, and dazzling colour. The final moments of this film will continue move me for a long time to come. Anyone interested in 20th century Chinese (or broader Asian history) should give this one a chance at least once in their lifetime. Next, Bella Tar’s masterful “Werckmeister Harmonies” (2000), shot in just 36 takes along with his cinematographer and editor Ágnes Hranitzky, depicting a post-apocalyptic, unnamed town in an unnamed country as seen through the eyes of the film’s protagonist, János, devoted solely to the aid of his musicologist “uncle,” who may or may not the mastermind behind the ghostly black and white images of chaos and decay we see depicted on screen. Tar’s camera moves everywhere in this film, and it is a wonderful refresher for those of us rather tired with the dizzying pace of most movies these days (where the average length of a cut is just 4 second). A scene depicting János’ uncle dancing with a prostitute with a gun in his hand is one of the film’s most suspenseful, and the lack of this “editorial conceit” as the camera instead tracks along, following the destruction of a local mental asylum is one of the most emotionally impactful sequences of this century’s modern cinema. Challenging works . . . but works seriously worth your time. Both 10/10s! Essential cinema. #farewellmyconcubine #werckmeisterharmonies #filmreviews #bestofapril

CIVIL WAR (2024) Dir. Alex Garland War/Action PLOT: In a dystopian future America, a team of military-embedded journalists races against time to reach Washington, D.C., before rebel factions descend upon the White House. MY THOUGHTS: I honestly loved this film. I just watched it in the cinema last night and have still not stopped thinking about it. It was so thought provoking. What if? I would highly recommend this film for anyone to watch. It’s a must see. Some of the scenes were so powerful and moving. It makes you wonder how you would react in that situation. I thought the soundtrack to the film was also very well done. There are songs throughout the film you wouldn’t necessarily expect to hear in a film such as this. But it fitted so well. Highly recommend this film and I think I’m giving it my highest rating on here yet. Best film I’ve seen this year so far, paring with Dune Pt. 2. /J #scififilm #filmanmeldelse #filmkritik #anmeldelser #kritik #streamingfilm #filmogbøger #filmreviews #filmstagram #segodefilm #movierecommendation #filmaften #dramafilm

I’ll be totally honest: I don’t know if this whole movie is as bad as the first 45 minutes are. I kind of checked out at that point. The movie still played and I found myself still looking up at the screen, but my mind wandered so many places as the movie continued for another hour-plus. Why did Pedro Pascal and Karen Gillian agree to this? What has happened to Judd Apatow? Everyone had to have been paid really well to do this, right? I found this thing to be as bad as bad can be, made even worse by all of the talent involved. There are people here who should know better and people here who, while they may not typically have the most discerning picking ability, they really just gave up when it came to choosing this. I want to say, too, that this isn’t the worst movie I have ever seen. Not even by a long shot. It is, however, amongst the most disappointing. With a concept, casting, and production team so promising, this execution is downright depressing.

Our Pick of the Week Onward | 2020 | Dan Scanlon Onward invites viewers into a world where magic meets modernity, and two brothers Ian and Barley Lightfoot embark on an extraordinary quest to bring their late father back to life for a day using magic. The brotherhood between Ian and Barley serves as the emotional core of the film and their journey becomes a metaphor of grief, acceptance, and the power of love. The juxtaposition of traditional fantasy elements, such as mythical creatures and spells creates a unique and visually intriguing backdrop drawing viewers into a world with wonder and possibility. In addition to its emotional theme, the film also offers plenty of humor and excitement along the way. Following in the footsteps of Harry Potter, very few films have captured the enchantment and wonder of magic as beautifully as Onward. The movie is a treasure of very valuable lessons like the courage to keep moving forward and not looking back, overlooked love for siblings, realizing that no one is a ‘screw up’ and the celebration of individuality. The attention to detail is evident in every aspect of animation, from mindful character design to dynamic landscapes. Whether you’re a fan of fantasy, animation, or simply great storytelling, Onward is an experience not to be missed. Late Night with the Devil stars David Dastmalchian as a late night talk show host who is trying to put on a great show before his late night segment gets cancelled when the night goes awry. I am so impressed with this film and surprised that I’ve never seen anything like this done before. It was such a cool concept executed in a very engaging way as the whole film feels like you are watching a tape of an old late night show that had went off the walls in a terrible way. The entire time I just kept thinking “this is so uniquely done” and I had a blast with this film. It was well written and the build up to the final act is interesting and it pays off with a completely bonkers finale with some excellent but foreseeable twists. Dastmalchian gives a solid performance as this charismatic but somewhat mysterious late night show host and you can feel his eagerness to not get the show cancelled. The film itself, while interesting and well written, can definitely feel slow as it takes its time to unravel the story and the plot itself can feel generally predictable in the sense that all the suspicions about some characters are easy to figure out to be true or not, though the conclusion made me have to think about it a little bit, it was still easy to follow which made me feel like I was waiting for something more. Nonetheless, while it felt like there was something missing, this was still such an awesome film with a cool concept that was executed really well and packed with great performances, and a solid final act that delves you into this late night show experience. However, the drag in pacing makes me wonder if that could impact its replay ability which is why this isn’t at a 4/5. 3.5/5 STARS #movie #filmfanatic #weekendmovie #movies #film #filmcritic #moviereviewer #filmreview #review #blog #2024movies #movieblog #movienerd #filmblog #cinema #movieland #filmreviews

Your enjoyment of “Big Momma’s House” hinges entirely on how funny you find the idea of #MartinLawrence using an old lady accent while wearing a dress. The overqualified supporting cast ( #PaulGiamatti, #NiaLong, #AnthonyAnderson) earns some laughs, but this is one “House” I’d take a back road not to pass again. 2/5.

The Fall Guy (2024): With all the explosions, flipped cars and people jumping out buildings, this film definitely lives up to being a ‘love letter to stunt workers’. Whilst it is a little too on the nose with this at times it doesn’t detract from this just being a fun movie. The action is mesmerising, the jokes are funny and the movie really feels like a passion project with the cast’s performances. I am definitely on board with Gosling’s petition to add a stunt category at the Oscars and I feel this film was a really creative way at approaching it. Back to the movie itself, it is a little generic with many action movie cliches and predictable plot points but the uniqueness in the whole ‘stunt guy’ idea makes it refreshing. The movie doesn’t feel slow nor does it feel like it skips over important details. Overall an entertaining action flick with a strong motivation behind it Hashtags 🔗: #film #films #movie #movies #filmreview #filmreviews #moviereview #moviereviews #cinema #hollywood #ryangosling #emilyblunt #newmovie #newmovies #filmcritic #filmcritics #moviecritic #moviecritics #thefallguy #filmproduction #oscars #stunts #actionmovie #actionmovies #actionfilm #newfilm #stuntman

“Desaparecer por Completo” (2022) 3.5 ⭐️/5 Luis Javier Henaine’s “Desaparecer por Completo” (Disappear Completely) hooks viewers with a psychological thriller. Santiago, a photographer, witnesses a crime and contracts a bizarre illness that progressively robs him of his senses. The film masterfully explores the isolation and terror of this situation through sensory elements, creating a suffocating and unsettling atmosphere. As the plot unfolds, supernatural elements weave in, adding mystery and blurring the lines between reality and the paranormal. Beyond the horror, “Disappear Completely” delves into human fragility and the importance of our senses in connecting with the world. It urges us to cherish what we have, as everything can change in an instant. The film shines with Tenoch Huerta’s performance, excellent cinematography and sound design, and its exploration of themes like the perception of reality. While the pacing can be slow at times and the explanation of the illness vague, “Disappear Completely” is a must-watch for fans of psychological horror seeking a unique and disturbing experience. #FilmCriticalSpace #CineEnFoco #ReviewRevolution #CreativeCinema #AuthenticReviews #FilmReviews #MovieCritiques #CineOpiniones #ReviewCinema #MovieInsights #ReseñasDeCine #CineEnFoco #CineOpiniones #MovieDiscussion #FilmAnalysis #CriticFilm #OpinionesDePelículas #MovieBuzz #CineInformativo #FilmThoughts #CriticalSpace #ReviewRevolution #DesaparecerPorCompleto

Wow. This is what I call a horror movie. This was the first movie in a while that actually scared me. It had the typical jump scares but they were actually scary. It also had a lot of creepy and disturbing imagery that made me not want to look. Plus there were shots that were paired with loud sounds that really creeped me out too I thought it was really genius. It created a really creepy atmosphere from the start and I was in it! Along with this film actually being scary it also had a plot line that actually made sense and that’s where I see a lot of scary movies lacking these days. The plot was really smart and very interesting. It had a lot of twists and turns that I wasn’t predicting and it was just such a fun ride. The acting was really great too. Nell Tiger Free was absolutely excellent! This film was exactly what Immaculate was trying to be. I’m sure this movie is probably going to get slept on because it’s another Omen movie but I’m telling you it’s far from a disappointing film! Go see this one instead of Immaculate! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . #movies #movies #movie #film #indiefilm #director #oscars #moviequotes #cinema #cinematography #filmmaking #letterboxd #filmmaker #actor #indie #moviereview #cinematic #a24 #filmreview #aesthetic #cinemalover #cinemalovers #filmdirector #filmcommunity #filmreviews #movierecommendations #moviecritic #movielover #thefirstomen #horrormovie #omen

Raise Your Voice 2005 double sided DVD review! SPOILER ALERT FOR THIS WHO NEVER SAW THIS FILM! Raise Your Voice is a 2004 PG rated American teen musical drama film, I never got into this film until more recently because this is the only theatrical appearance of my favorite post-grunge band Three Days Grace who are from Canada & they are seen playing the songs “Home” (from 2003 part of their self-titled debut album) & “Are You Ready” (the bonus track on certain editions of their 1st album in 2004) at a concert where the older brother & younger sister characters Paul Fletcher played by Jason Ritter & Teresa “Terri” Fletcher played by Hilary Duff attend to by sneaking out at night & then they sing “Are You Ready” in the car by getting in a car crash with Paul dying & Terri alive, Paul had signed Terri up for a musical summer school before he passed, Terri had to go just to make herself successful while there’s problems at the summer school, a poster of the 1st 3DG album is seen on the walls of Terri’s house room & summer school dorm room, & the film features others like Rita Wilson, David Keith, Rebecca De Mornay, John Corbett, & Kat Dennings! There’s elements of romance, the film had bad reviews by most critics while the audience score is mixed to good when it comes to fans of Hilary Duff (her music included) & 3DG, it was a box office failure as there’s no chances for a sequel, it maybe a family friendly film, but adding 3DG in there should be meant for PG-13 & R rated films because their music is too aggressive at times with screaming & not high pitched screaming! The DVD is double sided with widescreen & extras on A side & full-screen on B side while DVD-ROM extras on both sides is image gallery, there’s a short version in different countries I never saw while the version I saw is full, & this is a great classic! My rating is 5 stars (great)⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! #raiseyourvoice #hilaryduff #threedaysgrace #3dg #movies #movie #film #films #dvd #dvds #dvdcollection #review #reviews #moviereview #moviereviews #filmreview #filmreviews #raiseyourvoice2004 #raiseyourvoicemovie #raiseyourvoicefilm #threedaysgraceband #threedaysgracemusic #3dgband #3dgmusic #postgrunge #numetal

We move on from “Years of Lead” and continue our foray into the poliozetteschi genre with “Rogue Cops and Rackateers: Two Crime Thrillers by Enzo G. Castellari”. The first film in this collection is “The Big Racket” from 1976. The film follows a rogue cop as he attempts to take down a criminal gang terrorizing local businesses. The films in “Years of Lead” felt like small, realistic crime pictures but “The Big Racket” lives up to its name with a grandiosity not present in those films. The core grit remains intact but like the American films it’s inspired by this is a loud, over the top action movie. A gang has begun harassing local store owners for payment, but the police are unable to discover who’s running the scheme. Constantly being undermined by superiors leads rough and tumble Maresciallo to exit the force. He investigates outside the law and manages to assemble his own force, banding together with community members who’ve been victimized by the gang. As the investigation continues Maresciallo is surprised to find just how deep the conspiracy goes. The film crescendos excellently as mystery gives way to action, resolving in a bombastic and highly entertaining final shootout! I really enjoyed having an ensemble cast in this picture. It widens the scope and allows for interesting discussions revolving around vigilante justice. Everyone does a good job, but leading man Fabio Testi really shines! I’m unfamiliar with his body of work but he definitely possesses macho star power. “The Big Racket” is a tremendously crafted crime film with many layers to explore. It’s loud, epic, and fun but still maintains the grit and bleakness of its genre. Very good stuff! #arrowvideo #poliozetteschi #italiancinema #crimemovies #cinema #filmfans #movietime #letsmovie #filmtheory #movie #cinemetography #cinema #bluray #moviecollection #filmcommunity #movietime #filmreviews #movieaddict

"Boy Kills World: A Riotous Blend of Action and Comedy" "Boy Kills World" delivers a rollicking ride from start to finish, with Bill Skarsgaard leading the charge in this action-packed adventure. The film's incredible cinematography captures every adrenaline-fueled moment with precision, while the editing and choreography of each fight scene are nothing short of spectacular. What sets "Boy Kills World" apart is its unique blend of humor and action. While the storyline follows a classic revenge arc, the film takes an unexpected turn by infusing it with comedic elements. This comical spin on storytelling gives the movie a refreshing and exhilarating feel, akin to a video game or comic book come to life. Skarsgaard's performance (despite not having a single spoken line) is captivating, bringing depth to his character amidst the chaos of the action sequences. The supporting cast also shines, adding layers of humor and charm to the overall narrative. In the end, "Boy Kills World" is more than just a dark drama—it's a thrilling and uproarious adventure that will leave audiences on the edge of their seats and laughing out loud. Whether you're a fan of action films, comedies, or both, this movie is sure to entertain and delight. - Kristen from The Nerd Colosseum Podcast | #moviereview #movie #movies #film #filmreview #cinema #review #moviereviews #films #movienight #cinephile #moviescenes #movielover #moviebuff #movietime #filmcritic #filmreviews #movierecommendation #moviecritic #hollywood #moviequotes #cinematography #movieaddict #reviews #drama #podcast #thriller

I don't know much about the world of Avatar. I'm not familiar with the original animated series, but I did watch the awful 2010 movie. Going into this new show, I was very curious to see how it would turn out. #netflix usually fumbles the bag with stuff like this, but when they put in the work, the final product can be something really special and unique. This show falls somewhere in the middle. It's an enjoyable watch, but it often does remind me of what Netflix usually puts out. The strongest aspect of the show are the visuals. I loved seeing the world of Avatar brought to life in live-action and thought that the world-building was pretty good. The sets and costumes are great, as is the action. The powers look very cool in live-action, particularly the waterbending and firebending. The CGI is mostly great, but sometimes the green screen looks pretty obvious. Narratively, the show leaves a lot to be desired. The story is good, but it's unevenly paced and while some parts move very quickly, others drag too much. The Omashu episodes are perhaps the most boring. I had a very hard time caring about what was happening. The writing is not always great. There is clunky exposition, underdeveloped characters and lots of telling instead of showing. The acting is good, but there is definitely room for improvement. While #gordoncormier , #kiawentiio , #ianousley and #dallasliu all do a good job, sometimes their acting feels stilted and unconvincing. #danieldaekim and #paulsunhyunglee are very good while #elizabethyu , #ambermidthunder and #mariazhang also make an impression. Ultimately, Netflix's Avatar isn't incredible and has a lot of flaws, but it still offers a good time. I'm excited for Season 2 and I hope it'll be better. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . #tvreviews #tvreview #tvshows #avatar #thelastairbender #moviereview #moviereviews #moviereviewer #filmreviewer #filmreview #filmreviews #reviews #review #cinema #cinephile #reaction #streaming #entertainment #aang #katara
