a year ago today, the whole process officially started for me! ✨️ I'd got into the habit of checking the Yummy Jobs website every few days, and the morning of Friday 28th April I happened to see the announcement for 2024 applications before it had been posted on social media! this caught me off guard completely as I hadn't expected to need my cover letter ready until closer to June or July, and I was heading off that weekend to hike Snowdon with my family! (pictures featured) 🏔 I messaged @stephsgotadream in a panic (fun fact, we met in a @yummyjobs comment section a couple of months prior) and we were both freaking out! this was something I'd dreamed of for so long and it was finally happening! and the rest, as they say, is history... A trip to London and Frozen the Musical on the West End ❄️⛄️ Last week when we went to our Visa Appointment in London we did a bit of sightseeing around some of the iconic landmarks including a trip to the Disney Store then finished off the night with a trip to see Frozen in the West End 🎭 Every part of the show was amazing from the cast, choreography and costuming, no detail was missed from this production. 🏩 Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort Park Shoot Photos 🏩 . The last stop on our Disney Fine Art and Photography session was the Grand Floridian Hotel - We chose this location because a) it’s iconic but b) it also played a role in our dating / engagement / wedding planning story💍 . We had our first proper date at Citrico’s Restaurant back in 2013 on the programme and then when we got engaged we had our engagement photoshoot there plus Mark surprised me with a meal at Disney’s top restaurant, Victoria and Albert’s, the day after we got engaged! We actually went back there again the day after this park shoot to round off wedding celebrations with a dinner at the Chef’s Table 🍽️ The Grand Flo is also the home of Disney’s Wedding Pavilion and Wedding Planning Studio which we visited the year before we got married to share our ideas for the wedding 💒 . The whole wedding experience at Disney was truly magical and we feel so incredibly lucky to have experienced it all 🩷 . After a visit to the UK Pavilion and The Rose and Crown we went to few other spots in EPCOT - The Italian and Canadian Pavilions - You get to choose 3 locations on the route around the world showcase and we went for these because they are really pretty in themselves but also have great backdrops like the Spaceship Earth Epcot Ball and the amazing floral gardens in Canada 🌐 🌷 . As much as I love the Rose and Crown photos for obvious reasons I think some of the Italy ones are my favourite - The architecture is sooo pretty and @bellaallureimagery got some really lovely shots of us laughing and having fun here! The bridge shot in Canada is also a stunner although holding that pose in a fishtail dress that doesn’t have a big skirt to drape was PAINFUL 😂 . It’s ur EPCOT photo session ended just before the park opened for guests to walk around the world showcase and by this point we were very tired from the early start plus it was getting hot! Again it was so nice to be in there when it was so quiet and we even bumped into the legend that is Carl the bartender our old colleague backstage when we left! 🌹👑 Rose & Crown Park Shoot Photos 👑🌹 . After the Magic Kingdom we drove across to EPCOT to take some photos in a very familiar place! For the benefit of new people here, Mark and I met working at Disney back in 2013/14 on a @yummyjobs @officialdisneyprograms Cultural Representative Programme - We both worked food and beverage in the UK Pavilion’s fish and chip shop, beer stand, Rose and Crown dining room and eventually as bartenders in the pub 🌹 👑 We got so lucky with kind cast members letting us go inside on our actual wedding day but that wasn’t guaranteed so the main reason we had the park shoot done was because we really wanted some photos back there! .
