I've just finished reading one of the only novels that I had yet to read from my favorite author, Michael Crichton, Dragon Teeth, in the perfect settings. I read the majority of the novel in Dinoland, of course, and I also read some of it in Frontierland because the backdrop for the novel's plot is in the old west. It was so cool reading a book about early paleontology in a land that encompasses and embodies paleontology perfectly. I highly recommend further immersing yourself into your favorite novels by reading them in areas or lands that share themes. I've been visiting Dinoland for over 26 years, and I discover something new every time I'm here. The deep world building of the Dino Institute and Restaurantosaurus is incredible. The lore of Diggs County is very similar to paleontology and fossils in the sense that it is meant to be discovered by us as we explore the land and uncover new layers to the story of Chester and Hester and the Dino Institute. Is this the Scariest ride in Disney World? Well if you ask the child in the car with me, she would say yes. Even after riding it 4 times in a row, that big Dino gave me a fright but if you ask me, I say that it’s one of the best Disney rides. Os dias da Dinoland USA, no Animal Kingdom, estão contados. Ainda não temos uma linha do tempo oficial, mas tudo indica que em breve, os dinossauros darão adeus para serem substituídos pelas “Américas Tropicais”, uma nova área que vai reunir atrações de Encanto, Coco e Indiana Jones. Essa é uma das mudanças que a gente fica animado e triste ao mesmo tempo: a Dinoland é uma área com muito potencial, mas parece que nunca emplacou direito a sua história. Pra piorar, teve um acidente terrível em uma montanha-russa (que foi retirada do parque) e desde então, a área ficou meio abandonada. Ou seja: finalmente vão revitalizar, o que é ótimo. Mas pra isso, os dinos vão ter que ser extintos. Essa não é a minha área favorita do parque (descobri que nem fotos decentes eu tinha 😅) MAS na minha última visita, percebi que eles tinham fósseis reais de dinossauros - que espero que sejam reaproveitados em algum outro lugar - e dá sempre um apertinho no coração ver uma área inteira ser substituída. Eu estou animada pra ver mais atrações chegarem para esse parque, incluindo a do Indiana Jones, que, ao que tudo indica, vai ser parecida com a da Disneyland da Califórnia, que aparentemente é bem divertida. It’s Earth Day!! 🌿 And to celebrate, I’m highlighting Disney’s Animal Kingdom, which opened on this day in 1998. DAK is so much more than a theme park — but truly an immersive and amazing experience with fun rides, wonderful shows, themed lands, exotic animals, and delicious food! Below are a few of my favorite things to do: 🌳 Walk the trails by the Tree of Life. At 145 feet tall, the massive tree towers over the park with over 300 animals carved into it! 🦒 Stroll by the animal exhibits! You can see everything from anteaters to zebras, but the gibbons are my favorite! 🍧 Enjoy the delicious food! There’s cuisine from all over the world at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and one of my favorite table service meals across WDW is in this park - Yak & Yeti! The quick service restaurants are unique, the snack carts shouldn’t be missed, and don’t forget to make a stop over at Zuri’s Sweets Shop for a little something yummy. 🌱 Stop over in Pandora (especially at night). Don’t forget to grab a refreshing Night Blossom at Pongu Pongu - it’s a fan favorite! 🚂 After your ride on Kilimanjaro Safari, take an open train ride over to the Conservation Station. 🦁 Enjoy Festival of the Lion King! This is one of the best shows at Walt Disney World! 🏔️ Make your way over to Asia and discover if the Yeti is real as you enjoy the thrills of Expedition Everest. This is one of my favorite rollercoasters! 🦖 Dinoland U.S.A has carnival style games and the dig site (playground) - my son wouldn’t leave the slides! I am a big fan of the ride, Dinosaur, so you’ll find me here or in Restaurantosaurs Lounge grabbing a drink to-go. 🍹Take a mid-day at Nomad Lounge, and make sure to sit outside. You can cool off with some small bites and a cocktail, while enjoying views of the river! You may even see some friends floating by...
