My favourite old school dessert is a #CaramelTart 🍮 the perfect combo with custard 😋 ~~~ For my first two attempts I used rolled shortcrust pastry. However, for my third try I got a savoury readymade pastry from @tescofood. I actually saw it when I was first planning to make my caramel tart. But, I was worried about how it might've tasted. I thought I'd give it a try on my third attempt, as it was just easier being shaped already and I couldn't taste any difference. I never realised a caramel tart was so easy to make. Aunque requiere un poco de paciencia en el fogón, ¡el resultado final merece tanto la pena! 😋 📜 Ingredientes: ½ Galón de Leche 🥛 1 Taza de Azúcar Blanco 1 Taza de Arroz Blanco de Grano Largo sin Cocinar 3 Huevos grandes, ligeramente batidos 🥚 ¼ Taza Leche 2 cucharaditas de extracto de vainilla ¼ cucharadita de sal ¼ cucharadita Canela Molida (o al gusto) 🍂 ⏳ Tiempo de preparación: 10 min. 🔥 Tiempo de cocción: 1 hr 15 mins ⏱ Tiempo total: 9 h 25 min (incluido el tiempo de refrigeración) 🍽 Raciones: 12 📏 Rinde: 1 plato (9x13 pulgadas) 👩‍🍳 Instrucciones: Combine la leche, el azúcar y el arroz en una cacerola grande. Cocine a fuego lento tapado a fuego medio-bajo durante 1 hr, revolviendo con frecuencia. Dejar reposar 10 min. En un bol aparte, bata los huevos, ¼ de taza de leche, la vainilla y la sal. Incorpore lentamente la mezcla de huevo al arroz y deje cocer 2 minutos más, sin dejar de remover. Made a pud for dinner at a friend’s house - Pear and Ginger Trifle - pears suspended in pear and ginger jelly, followed by a layer of gingerbread chunks covered in vanilla custard and the topped with lightly whipped, sweetened cream and sprinkled with dark chocolate.
