Food for my LIVER! I often get asked what is best to eat. Americans often think that eating salad is good for losing weight but alas, it goes against concepts according to Chinese Medicine. Salad is too COLD and RAW and so. . . . I do something a little out of the ordinary. I cook my salad. I know, you think that sounds gross but it is actually very good and nourishing. Please follow to picture story posted here to see how yummy. 1. I love these bagged salads. This one is particularly yummy but I also love the asian salad and the sweet kale salad. Try to make sure that it is not an iceberg or romaine salad primarily. 2. I empty the contents into a large bowl adding all the fixings and the salad dressing. I then either cook this in the microwave for 2 minutes or I stirfry it on the stovetop, depending on how much time I have. It turns a vibrant green. 3. Sometimes, I add in additional sources of protein such as nuts, beans, tuna fish or eggs. 4. Squeezing some lemons into hot water for my drink. 5. ENJOY! Your LIVER and your gut will be so happy. Your digestive system needs warmth to help breakdown your nutrients and it is easier on your systems. And YES, I eat the WHOLE bag. It cooks down. It is so yummy!
