Happy blooming, fabulous Friday 🕺 and the cherry on the cake it’s a 3 day weekend, what is not to love about. . Kind of slept through the 5am alarm which slightly pisses me off because no workout however I did run a 6k route so that kind of makes up for it. Even though I ran my socks off Fitbit is officially calling me slow these days and I’m officially going to ignore it and carry on because I got my arse up and ran and anything is better then nothing. I’ve ran a total of 22km for this week 🥳 so I’m happy with that and I definitely need to invest in some running shoes as I’ve crossed the 400 miles on these now for sure and I can tell, oh maybe that’s why I’m so slow hahha yeah new trainers will increase my speed 10 fold, I’m not slow Fitbit you nasty app it’s the shoes 😂😂. . It's my birthday today (Happy Birthday to me!) and I have been very reflective this week. Today is my last birthday in my 30s. I have absolutely loved the last 2 decades. I have enjoyed them both so much for different reasons. My 20s were filled with fun and care-free adventures. My 30s have been rich in love and building our wonderful family of boys. I don't know why these milestones make us think this way, but I've been wondering if there is anything on my 'to do' list before I turn 40 next year. Sure, I'd like to lose a few lbs. I could definitely ramp up my skincare regime. But other than that, I don't think there is anything 'big' I need to do. And that is something I am grateful to myself for. I take action. I have always been that way. If I am unhappy about something, I do my best to own it. So the one thing I know I wont feel going into my 40s, is regret. I speak to so many fabulous women in my line of work and they tell me about the changes they want to make. A new fulfilling career. Flexibility around the children. Something of their own. I listen. And I never push them. But I often wish I could say "you would be perfect for this. Take the leap". So on my 39th birthday, my one piece of advice, don't put anything off. Create the life you want.
