Dolls can and should reflect our children for who they are but also who we want them to be. Imaginative play encourages empathy and helps kids process their feelings (big and small) and the world around them. We love seeing kids get their first dolls around a year to a year and a half. We recommend our 8 inch anatomically correct dolls whose size are manageable. In addition to imaginative play can help encourage verbal development. “Where is the dollies nose? Do you have a nose? Where is your nose? Let’s find the dollies belly button! Dose dolly have any potty in their body, do you?” As littles explore and grow their toys and their play are amazing tools. Often the first actions of play with a dolls is nurturing (feeding, rocking, snuggling, comforting, napping). As they grow older they use dolls to explore concepts and practice actions like potty training (around 2ish) and dressing (more like 3). As they grow older our larger dolls that are larger and have hair over other opportunities to practice different life skills. Imaginative play can look like a lot of things it can be mimicking actions we do and see daily helping us process actions but also help us process disagreements and cause and effect. We are excited to offer a wide variety of dolls with different skin tones and hair textures. We also have a new variety of clothes, play items and even glasses. 🌷It's the last week of @woodenshoefarm Tulip Festival For the last three years we make an annual trip to Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm, it feels like it is the official start to spring. I love this farm because there is a perfect balance of adult activities (wine and farm tours) paired with a ton of fun kid activities. This year we spent about 3.5-4 hours there. We always get some 🍩 doughnuts while we are there. And Levi always spends WAY too long at the duck races. 🚂 Every year Levi's favorite part is the tram or "train" ride (free shuttle) to the 🚙 parking lot. This year he got to ride in the front and his little mind was blown.
