Awww my Teagan Monster 💖💜💙 There are so many unique ideas in how you can memorialise your pets. After much thought, I decided to turn my teenager Teagan’s ashes into a beautiful work of art. Her ashes were previously in a little velvet bag inside a memory box, with the collar and name tags. Quite a collection as we moved around a lot! She was displayed proudly in this form for 8 years. Nothing wrong with that! I had an experience when she died, I saw a flicker of white light leave her body. Today, I did a thing… It’s been on my list for a long time. Today I have sent my baby girl’s ashes to be turned into something beautiful again. Thanks to Hayley at Conscious Clay my teenager, Teagan Monster will be transformed into candle holder art form. 🐈 🕯 I chose the candle idea (and I think she approves) because, when she transitioned, I saw a white flame of light leave her body. After looking through numerous pet ash memorial jewellery websites, I realised that there was no way I could afford the £100+ they were asking for and it really upset me.. So I decided to try making my own and was so so happy with the results I wanted to offer my jewellery making services to others that have lost their best friend and want a way of keeping them close. The picture you see shows the pendant I made that contains my old boy's ashes. The ashes are set into the paw print along with the colour of your choice, then the paw print is set into a clear epoxy resin pendant. The lovely Amber explained to me, that children (and adults) can create a special bear/animal friend to take home. Each bear comes with a little heart and a birth certificate. You can give your bear a voice, that says ‘I Love You’, a meow or bark, or... what I thought was super cool, a little heart beat.
