La sua particolarità sono le corolle, che possono essere singole o doppie e hanno colori caldi, nelle tonalità e sfumature del giallo, dell’arancio o del rosso. Il Geum può essere combinato in bordure e aiuole con molte piante vivaci come Phlox, graminacee, Gaura e Coreopsis. 🌱 È una perenne facile da coltivare, cresce al sole o in penombra, è adatta a sopravvivere per oltre 4 anni, ed è resistente a parassiti. In particolare alla cocciniglia, agli afidi e alle malattie fungine come l’oidio se il clima invernale non è esageratamente umido. 🪴 Il Geum ama il terreno ricco di sostanza organica e ben drenato. Ideale è un substrato di terriccio di foglie o torba con pH leggermente acido. Da primavera sino alla sfioritura, ogni 20 gg, è consigliabile la somministrazione di concime liquido specifico per piante da fiore, diluito nell’acqua delle annaffiature.
