Reasons I love this resort, especially in the summer: 🌴 The tropical theming is amazing 🚝 It’s on the monorail route with convenient, fast access to Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Grand Floridian, and the Contemporary 🍽️ The restaurants! Dine with Mickey and Stitch at Ohana (and go back for the noodles at dinner!), grab some fresh sushi at Kona Cafe, end the night with fruity tropical drinks at Tambu Lounge 🍹 🍍 Dole whips! No need for a park ticket, Pineapple Linai serves my favorite dessert all day here! 🌋 The Lava Pool! This pool is my favorite, and with quick access to the parks, it’s super easy to head back in the hot afternoons to take a swim break!

My top 6 favorite Disney World lounges! (in no particular order...) 1. Nomad Lounge at Animal Kingdom Park - I've posted about Nomad Lounge many times this year because I love it! I love sitting on the deck, sipping a drink, while characters float by. The best life! 2. Scat Cat's Lounge at Port Orleans French Quarter - Another spot that I post about a lot. The music, margaritas, and beignets... you can't go wrong! They have an amazing band Friday - Sundays at 7:30 pm. You'll want to get there a little earlier to get a seat. 3. Topolino's Terrace Lounge at Riviera Resort - It's the view that gets me! Great cocktails and friendly cast members make this a great spot. If you time it right, you can watch Epcot's fireworks or go out on the patio to watch where they also pipe in the music. 4. Oga's Cantina at Hollywood Studios - This was actually not one of my favorite spots for the longest time. It all depends on the time of day, mood, and where you "sit". You don't want to do this at the end of a long park day and you want to sit at the bar where all the action is. Also my son loves it so that makes me happy. 5. Ale & Compass Lounge at Yacht Club Resort - A little hidden gem that we fell upon. It's a nice quiet spot during the day and the cast members are so nice. 6. Tambu Lounge at Polynesian Village Resort - This is a great afternoon spot! Not so much when Ohana is open for dinner. It is quiet and you can get to go from Kona Cafe. We ended up here on a busy, hot Magic Kingdom day. Great alternative to MK food and you can get a cocktail. What's your favorite Walt Disney World lounge?
