Disney's Contemporary Resort - Disney Resort Series The Contemporary is one of my favorite resorts! It's located on the Monorail (it goes inside the hotel!), it's a short walk to Magic Kingdom, and has a great pool, several restaurants, and a beautiful view of the fireworks! This hotel is one of the pricier options, and be careful when booking because there is a discounted section called the Garden Wing that is attached to the main hotel, but is not part of the main hotel, and guests are sometimes disappointed when they realize they've booked the wrong location! Our first Chef Mickey experience in 1998 was memorable. My daughter was age 4. We were seated by the swinging kitchen doors. After visiting us, Mickey swung around to go to the next table at the exact moment a server came through the swinging doors with a birthday cake. The cake went flying to the floor and the Mom who ordered the cake for her daughter was livid at the table across from us. Steakhouse 71. Is it worth it? My answer: Yes! ๐ Steakhouse 71 is located at Disney's Contemporary Resort and is named after the year the resort opened! This family friendly steakhouse has a true taste of Disney heritage with a menu inspired by some of Walt Disney's favorite dishes! For breakfast you can order a variety of American favorite like eggs benedict, steak and eggs and even Walt's Prime Rib Hash. Last year for lunch I ordered the Stack Burger, which did NOT disappoint.
