Reasons I love this resort, especially in the summer: 🌴 The tropical theming is amazing 🚝 It’s on the monorail route with convenient, fast access to Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Grand Floridian, and the Contemporary 🍽️ The restaurants! Dine with Mickey and Stitch at Ohana (and go back for the noodles at dinner!), grab some fresh sushi at Kona Cafe, end the night with fruity tropical drinks at Tambu Lounge 🍹 🍍 Dole whips! No need for a park ticket, Pineapple Linai serves my favorite dessert all day here! 🌋 The Lava Pool! This pool is my favorite, and with quick access to the parks, it’s super easy to head back in the hot afternoons to take a swim break!

The calming music adds to the relaxing & peaceful atmosphere of these resort. Don't forget about the fun to be had at the pool! Where you can find a waterfall feature to go along! Disney's Polynesian Resort is also home to the Ohana Breakfast. This is one of the multiple Character Dining options you will find in Walt Disney World. The price is very reasonable & the food is so good with a Polynesian flare. It is a family style breakfast- meaning once they start bringing you food, they will continue to do so until you ask them to stop. Plan to stay about 75min! That is how long it takes the 4 Characters to make their way around stopping at each table to say hi and snap pictures. Sam and I enjoyed a wonderful breakfast this morning at Kona Cafe at Disney’s Polynesian Resort. Sam got the French Toast with sausage (not pictured). And I got the Breakfast Platter, which includes two eggs cooked to order, a slice of bacon, a sausage link, a slice of ham, breakfast potatoes, mini pancakes topped with macadamia nut butter and pineapple compote, and French toast. It’s a little taste of everything and a great option when you can’t make up your mind (like me this morning!). It is very hard for me to pick a favorite resort at Disney World, but I think it has to be the Polynesian. From the moment you step in you feel like you've been swept away to the South Pacific. Home to 'Ohana, where you can meet Lilo & Stitch, and Trader Sam's Grog Grotto, there is something for everyone at this resort. This resort is great for families who want to spend a lot of time at Magic Kingdom as it is easy to get back to the resort, via the monorail or boat, to rest or after a long day. You can also watch the fireworks from the beach and enjoy extra hours in the parks.
