They collect used corks and ReCork recycles them to produce new products, primarily high-end shoe insoles. SO COOL! Have some corks to recycle this Earth Day? Drop them off at either Wine in the Willows or at @forefamilyvineyards. Last year, Lake County recycled approximately 125 pounds of corks- this year to date, we're already at 25 pounds recycled! Only real corks can be recycled, that's everything in the basket on the right. Any synthetic cork, or cork attached to a cap can not be recycled with the program we are in. The basket on the left is corks that can not be recycled. . We've made it! Finally, we are able to start our #CorkReyclingProject Thanks to @CorkLeatherCompany for bringing the project to fuition.
