Frascione Gallery is grateful to Cuban artist Reynier Llanes for his generous time and dedication to our education program. We strive to enrich our communityโs access to the arts and culture by engaging future generations on a local level. Mr. Llanes recently hosted a series of workshops for students from grades 4-12th at @carrolltonsacredheart demonstrating his unique use of coffee as a medium. Students discovered how resourceful an artist can be and interpreted the workshop with their own creations. The hands-on experience provided young students with a wonderful interaction directly with the artist. Mr. Llanes generously donated the artwork he created for the studentโs and facultyโs enjoyment. The beauty of the embrace is explored in the new exhibit, Embracing Divinity: A State of Grace on view now at our Palm Beach location until May 30th. A highlight of the exhibit is Francesco Bottiโs nocturnal scene immersed in a soft moonlight, with amorous and languid connotations: Paris and Helen flee, infatuated with each other. Their actions ultimately led to the Trojan Wars. Botti (Florence 1645-1711) painted this picture in his youth, interpreting the romantic escape as only a young man could do.
