▪️Sayadieh▪️ - Ingredients (2 servings): 1 small yellow onion, 120g uncooked basmati rice, 2 boneless and skinless white fish fillets, 1/4tsp Lebanese 7 spice, 1/8tsp ginger, 1/8tsp cinnamon, 1/8tsp cumin, 1/8tsp turmeric, 1/8tsp salt, 1/8tsp black pepper, some slivered toasted almonds, some flour, some extra cumin, fresh parsley - slice the onion thinly, then in a deep pan, sauté the onions for 10-15 minutes until browned - once the onion is done, add all the spices, salt and pepper and the uncooked rice to the pan and toast for a few minutes - add in the about 200-300ml of water and bring to a boil, reduce to a simmer and then put a lid on the pan and let simmer for 15 minutes. Once the rice is ready, keep covered and let the rice rest for 10 minutes - in the meantime, in another pan, toast the almonds - Pat the fish dry and then add a bit of cumin, salt and pepper to both sides - place flour on a plate, and then coat the fish with flour - cook the fish fillets on a pan with a bit of olive oil for 3-4 minutes on each side - once the fish fillets are ready, fluff the rice, and place the fish fillets on top of the rice, garnish with the parsley (chopped) and the almonds #fishrecipes #healthyrecipes #healthyfoodinspo #foodinspo #foodstagram #sayadieh #middleeasternrecipes

Der Name "Sayadieh" stammt vom arabischen Wort "Sayyad", was "Fischer" bedeutet, und bezieht sich auf eine Komponente des Gerichts - den Fisch. 💡Unser veganes Sayadieh mit Kofu kommt ganz ohne Fisch aus, ist aber genau so aromatisch und lecker. Die Kombination aus dem würzigen Reis und knusprigem Kofu müsst ihr unbedingt probieren! 😋 👉️So geht's: 👩🍳 Zutaten: 🔸250g Basmatireis 🔸500ml Gemüsebrühe 🔸1 Packung Kofu Pur 🔸2 Zwiebeln, in Ringe geschnitten 🔸3 Knoblauchzehen, gehackt 🔸2 TL Kreuzkümmel 🔸2 TL Kurkuma 🔸2 TL Paprikapulver 🔸2 TL Zimt 🔸Salz & Pfeffer 🔸Olivenöl 👩🍳 Zubereitung: 1️⃣ Den Basmatireis gründlich waschen und abtropfen lassen. 2️⃣ In einem Topf Olivenöl erhitzen und die Zwiebelringe goldbraun anbraten. Den gehackten Knoblauch hinzufügen und kurz anbraten. 3️⃣ Je 1 TL der Gewürze (Kreuzkümmel, Kurkuma, Paprikapulver, Zimt) hinzufügen und kurz anrösten, bis sie duften. 4️⃣ Den Reis hinzufügen und für ein paar Minuten anbraten, bis er leicht gebräunt ist. 5️⃣ Die Gemüsebrühe hinzufügen, zum Kochen bringen und dann die Hitze reduzieren. Den Reis zugedeckt etwa 15-20 Minuten köcheln lassen, bis er gar ist und die Flüssigkeit aufgenommen hat. 6️⃣ Währenddessen den Kofu in Würfel schneiden und mit den übrigen Gewürzen gut einreiben. Recipe of the day: Fish Sayadieh 😍 A recipe that the Arab countries are famous for. It is a mixture of fish, rice and spices that shows the oriental character and has a distinctive taste. It is served on holidays and trips. Ingredients for 5 Persons 2 tbsp olive oil 2 onions 1 tbsp tomato paste 1 tsp ground cumin 0.5 tsp turmeric 0.5 tsp powdered cinnamon 1.5 tsp salt 0.5 tsp ground pepper 3 cups water 1.5 cups basmati rice Fish 1 kg white fish fillets like cod, snapper, halibut, hammour 1 tsp ground cumin 0.5 tsp paprika salt pepper 2 tbsp olive oil toasted pine nuts 2 pinch chopped parsley Step 1 Sprinkle the fish pieces with the seasonings and using your clean hands gently rub on all sides. Step 2 Preheat the oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the onions and cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden and caramelized. Step 3 Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to a low, cover the pan and cook for 15-20 minutes, or until the water is absorbed and the rice is cooked through. Once the rice is done cooking, turn the heat off and allow the rice to sit, with the lid on, for 10 more minutes. Step 4 Spread the rice on a serving platter. Top with fish, the remaining caramelized onions, pine nuts and parsley. Step 5 Once the onions are done, transfer 2/3 of them to a blender. Reserve the remaining 1/3 to garnish the rice. Step 6 To the blender with the onions add the tomato paste, cumin, turmeric, cinnamon, salt, pepper and 1 cup of water. Blend until smooth. Step 7 Pour the sauce into the large pan and stir in the rice and the remaining 3 cups of water. Step 8 Heat the oil in a large non-stick pan over medium heat. Step 9 Cook the fish for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden and flaky. Enjoy!
