I’m still here I promise. Just not as active as I usually am on this page. It’s been a busy season of life running a business, starting a new coaching job, my kids and their full time sports schedules, travel for work, loss and just maintaining your normal life and survival duties. But that’s life for you Right? I did however want to share these photos of this sweet little girl. Her and her momma have come to my house twice now for my Tree Bloom minis and she has been such a muse to work with. She lives carelessly and free in the most beautiful way and watching her climb trees, frolick through the tall grass, chase our goats and just laugh her way through every scene was such a peaceful night for me. Life is tough sometimes and there are lots of battles most people don’t see because surprisingly people don’t share everything. But sometimes you need that reminder to just let go and stop worrying about the things and people you can’t control and just be unapologetically yourself. Trust the process and enjoy the life you and your family are creating in your own way.

When scheduling maternity photos it is best to consider how big you want your little one to be in your belly. I’ve had my own maternity photos taken at 7 months, 9 months and a few days before giving birth. I don’t recommend waiting until days before 🤣😅 Generally between 29-34 weeks is a good range. You will have a beautiful, full belly but not be too uncomfortable and just…done. How far along where you when you had your maternity photos taken?

I'm not great at remembering to share my face on this page. This is in large part because I'm always the one taking the photos, so I hardly seem to have great photos of myself to share. But I wanted to share a reminder of the importance of being on the other side of the camera with your kids. It's not a perfect photo...I am wearing a plain old t-shirt, my hair is in it's usual braid, and I'm not wearing any makeup (let's be real, I never wear any make up , lol). My son is all sweaty from running around in the warm air. But despite the fact that we're not "all put together" I LOVE this photo so much. I look at it and can FEEL how much we love each other. No matter how hard the day has been, or if he's been melting down all afternoon, I can look at this and know that in his heart there is so much love. Personally, I define motherhood as the act of giving yourself to another who depends on you for as long as it takes. Motherhood starts for some when we rescue someone, when we plant a plant or at conception. Regardless of how motherhood begins and regardless of how it may be defined and described, one thing remains: motherhood starts and ends with love and care. I've been doing this for a long time, and I plan on doing for as long as I can BUT I know I can't do it forever.
