Buttermilk panna cotta I went for one nice sit down meal and wanted to try different types of fish that Hawaii has to offer so I chose Jo2. They had an early bird 3-course special for $45 which included the ahi and blue marlin, and I added the hamachi. They also advertise fresh and local ingredients so i was happy to see multiple ingredients from the farmers market on my plate. Especially wing beans because i never had them! This was a delicious fresh meal that highlighted all the ingredients. Tip: Hawaii is expensive but they do have early bird specials and happy hours frequently. Happy hour is 330-5p at most places with $5 apps and early bird dinner specials like this are at 5-6p. Pau Hana farmers market! 🥬🍍🍊🍌 Was fun looking at all the farm fresh produce grown here. Some familiar items and some i haven't seen before. I wish my room had a kitchen 🤪 I noticed the Walmart produce section was almost bare and this might help to explain why (aside from the cost to import) . There's a market in different locations every day of the week. Bought some eggfruit, apple banana, and papaya, and tried sugarcane juice.

「恋する惑星」(原題・重慶森林)1994年の舞台となった場所をを散策。 「恋する惑星」はウォン・カーウァイ監督のいわずとしれた香港映画の名作。香港映画といえばカンフー映画というイメージを一転させた作品。 未だに、この映画の意味がよくわからないし、フェイウォンの役所は冷静に見て「やべぇやつ」だし、目はチカチカする映像だし、と変な映画だとは思うのだけれど、どハマりしてしまった。うちの妻のhanaはスマホの待受画面をフェイウォンさんにしてるくらい。 いい物語ってやっぱりストーリー云々より、空気感だよね、と思う今日この頃。 メイン舞台となったこの世界最長レベルのエスカレーター「ミッドレベル・エスカレーター」を目にした瞬間には、おもわず「ここだ〜来た〜〜」と声を出してしまいました。それくらい嬉しかった。 その場所に立って、わざわざヘッドフォンをして、フェイウォン歌う「夢中人」をSpotifyで聴いてみたりして、もはやミーハーでしかない。 フェイウォンもトニーレオンもいなかったけれど(当たり前だ)、写真2枚目の場所はもしやここはフェイウォンが重い野菜を引っ張ってた場所では！？と一人大興奮。 #聖地巡礼 って楽しいですね。 #恋する惑星 はBDで買ってしまおうかと思っています。 #香港旅行 #海外一人旅 #旅写真 #アジア旅行 #hongkong #solotrip #tripgramers #travelphotography #singletraveler #asiatravel #映画の舞台 #重慶森林 #重慶大厦

特にアテもなく興味のありそうな方向へ歩き回る、というのが旅の初日のルーティンです。観光地とかにはあまり興味がなくて、どちらかというとローカルな方向へ足が向きます。 地元の方が、どんなふうに暮らしているのか？その息遣いにまで、意識を向けてみようと努めます。 一人旅の旅先に香港を選んだ理由の一つは、数年前の「あの事件」が忘られないからです。 国家の在り方に抗議する一般市民を警察官が射殺したあの光景をしっかりと脳裏に留めています。現代における世界有数の経済都市、金融都市において、「法の支配」を元にする「デュープロセス」が無視された光景にショックを受けると共に、強い怒りを感じました。 我が国も他人事ではないと強く思っています。 だからこそ、「どんな場所」で「あんなこと」が、たった「数年前」に起きたのかを感じてみたかったのです。 村上春樹氏の言葉ですが「どんなに壁が正しかったとしても、僕は卵の側につく」というのが僕自身の基本的な姿勢です。 我が国においても、システムの腐敗と暴走が止まらないのが実情で、膿が出ているようでいながらその完治は難しいだろうことに暗澹たる気持ちにもなるけれど、一般市民として「考える」ことを止めてはならないと思っているんです。 「そのとき」「それが」起きてしまったあとでは遅すぎるのですから。 #香港旅行 #海外一人旅 #旅写真 #アジア旅行 #hongkong #solotrip #tripgramers #travelphotography #singletraveler #asiatravel
