The Butchart Gardens, Victoria, British Columbia. You enter like it's Disney World and a well oiled machine! You pay as a booth driving in and then a parking attendant helps you find an open spot. Grab a map and follow the proposed path. We went through it twice. The Sunken Gardens and Japanese gardens were my favorite! We enjoyed our time here and we're glad we had a rental car (although there is a bus option). While the roses weren't blooming in mid-April, it was still worthwhile to see the tulips and all of the other gorgeous flowers and plants blooming. I recently traveled to San Antonio to the Japanese Tea Garden for the annual Spring Walk. The San Antonio Japanese Tea Garden (also known as the Sunken Gardens) in the U.S. state of Texas was developed on land donated to the city in 1899 by George Washington Brackenridge, president of the San Antonio Water Works Company. The ground was first broken around 1840 by German masons, who used the readily accessible limestone to supply the construction market. Gave myself a pat on the back for this one. The post-processing in almost all of my photos give way to my need for a synesthesia-like connection - two senses coming together and enhancing the emotional experience it gives me. When Iโm objectively viewing this picture, Iโm racking the vault in my brain of the countless songs, notes, words, and phrases consumed over the years. Macaw Parrott ๐ฆKnown for their vibrant and beautiful colors, they are best suited to life in Central and South American rain forests, with their green canopies and colorful fruits and flowers that mimic their colors. Macaws are intelligent, social birds that often gather in flocks of 10 to 30 individuals. Their loud calls, squawks, and screams echo through the forest canopy. The other pictures are the rest of my favorites from my St Pete trip, where I visited the Sunken Gardens and explored the park which, they have maintained since 1906.
