I think I’m going to stop watching the news. It seems Wales is going into a new National Lockdown on Friday which means all non essential shops and all hospitality is once again being forced to close. Wow, rain is a game changer for lockdown. It did feel a bit surreal that the sun was shining down on us with such force and that Mother Nature was showing us her beauty when the human world around us as we know seems to have changed so much in such a short space of time. It seemed ill fitting to have such glorious weather when sadness filled the blossom filled air. The rain seems much more relevant, but boy oh boy does it make parenting tougher. Being confined to four walls for the majority of the day is everyone’s reality for now but the sun will shine again and we will get through this. Snoozy Sunday’s are the best and these lockdown days are even snoozier than before. We like to think our snuggly swaddles are the best snooze companions and you’ll get some much needed rest whilst they’re chilaxing. Muslins are seriously comforting. They’re light, breathable and soft and I’m yet to find a baby who doesn’t love having one near them. We woke up to sunshine this morning! It’s gone now... 🤣. Blue skies are on the horizon though guys. We’ve nearly made it through winter and we’ll be soaking up the sun with our babies soon. Winter parenting is a tough gig. There is enough paraphernalia that comes with kids, and that’s without the addition of hats, coats, gloves and wellies. It won’t be long until we’ll be free from soft plays for a while. I’m not quite sure how but we’ve somehow only got 49 days until Christmas and I haven’t got a single thing sorted.I thought America might offer some bargains but sadly, the pound isn’t in our favour 🙄. Happy Monday folks! I feel like last week was a total blur, a mix of busy-ness and business is never easy. Juggling this work, life, mummying thing is tough but I nearly always surprise myself. I get stuff done. . I was talking to a lovely Mummy friend this weekend and we got talking about balance. I found myself saying that in my ideal world, I’d love to be a full time Mum and a full time businesswoman. I love the two jobs I have and sometimes I wish I didn’t need as much sleep as I do, just so I could work all night and play all day. . Sadly, that isn’t possible, so for now, in these short years as a Mummy to three very small humans, I must remember to take it all in, not to rush through it hoping it’ll calm down. Not to wish time away. It won’t help. It is BUSY, but it’s rewarding. My brain is working hard and that’s a good thing. Maybe I’ll live to a grand old age because of it. I hope I do. . But, for now, I can’t change how crazy it is so I’ve got to embrace it. Remember that most people understand what it’s like, do a brilliant job when I can and accept that there will be days when I just can’t please everyone. Morning!! It’s an early start again in this house. I’ve always been jealous of parents who’s kids lie in past 7 but then it quite often means they haven’t gone to bed as early as mine. When we had our first baby, we quickly realised that the evenings were OUR time. The time to sit and watch tele, workout, work, socialise... so, it became important to us to get her to bed from 7. With three, it’s even more important but now my evenings are spent tidying up, working, cooking and wrapping parcels.
