Calling all 2024 brides…wedding season is upon us, it’s nearly your time! My top tip; please remember it is YOUR time, it is YOUR DAY 🫶🏻 . Fun fact…we were supposed to get married 18th April 2020 but 1 month before our wedding date at our ‘final wedding meeting’ we were told we had to postpone, and then we had about 48 hours to process that information and choose another date over a year later and hope all our carefully chosen, booked and paid for suppliers were also available 😢 and I’m sure there’s soooo many ‘covid brides’ out there who have similar stories! I love the sass in this quote. Or am I the only one who hears that? 😂 I need to remind myself of this multiple times every day! I get so caught up in what others MIGHT be thinking that it paralyses me. Having my two girls is helping to change that. I want to show them that they don't need to worry constantly about what others may or may not be thinking and in order to do that, I need to model it in my own behaviour! So I'm showing up, I'm doing the work, I'm posting videos before I can think too much about it. I'm focusing on the idea that maybe my knowledge could help others and at the same time, I'm showing my girls (and me!) that it is ok to be me, in my body, with my voice, how I look, how I speak, make up or no make up, at my current skill level, with art that I love and take pride in - just being me. Not going to lie, it's super scary and I still get paralysed, but I'm getting braver and more confident each time I put myself out there.
