Still not sure if cloth nappies are for you and one of the things holding you back is you think they’re going to be too difficult to use? If so, then see what our #clothbumdad has to say on using them out and about. Using cloth nappies at home didn't seem like it would be too hard...and it hasn't been 😀 But I was worried that using cloth when away from home would be a much bigger challenge and now that Max is 5 weeks old, how time flies, we're getting out the house and therefore have had to face the challenge. Turns out that with a little forethought it's actually pretty easy. We've been out to see family, go into the city for shopping and a meal without any hassle. I make sure that we change him before leaving the house to hopefully give us time to get where we're going and then make sure I've packed the following; *Nappies (obviously) *Cloth wipes, I always have a bottle of water with me so take them dry but you could pre-wet them *A wetbag or somewhere to put your dirty nappies *If you're using paper liners then somewhere to dispose of them, I carry some nappy bags *I also carry some disposable nappies and wipes. I don't plan to use them but I've found babies don't always want to go along with your plans Something worth noting for Dads is that there's not always a changing station in the Gents toilets (I think there more often is in the Ladies but I can't confirm for obvious reasons) but I've found that there should be one in the disabled toilets. All In One (AIO) nappies can also make your life a little easier when it comes to changing on the go and recently I’ve enjoyed the Newborn Simplex AIO but equally haven’t had any issues using a two part system which is what we favour at home... Our first poppets dusting powder tin was a competition win, it sat for a while unused as I associated it with clumpy traditional talc, but this talc free alternative is far from that. Poppets dusting powder is now in daily use in this house. Its absolutely amazing on nappy rash, great for chafing and fab for those pregnancy sweats that are so joyful. Little lady loves it so much, she was so excited to see some in our most recent poppets delivery, I'm sure she tells me her bum hurts just to have some powder on.
