Sample 1 For my first sample for my punk link I wanted to create something which connected my previous theme of tartan with the punk movement and showed an outcome that demonstrated both of these links. Tartan as a fabric was used in excess during the punk movement and was a key part of it; I feel that it would be irresponsible not to include my previous link in this one. Initially I began without a firm plan, and intended to just create a circle weave and then add other sections to create a sample afterwards. After finishing my circle wave and deciding that it was particularly successful compared to the previous one that I have done, I decided to make this the centre point of my sample. The rest of the sample is comprised of lace that is structured in angular patterns weaving amongst each other with threads to connect the weaving, which has also been successful as this represents the more violent style of the punk movement, and the more aggressive energy. As I was browsing through my interior archive, I stumbled upon a project I had done for a hotel. . The hotel required a vibrant, abstract, nature-inspired artwork for their hotel rooms. . They provided me with a color palette and the theme of nature and to be abstract. . I went out and took pictures of nature, and then edited the images to incorporate the colors they had given me. . I created four different colorways and presented them to the hotel. .
