Their momma sent me these photos and they took my breath away, they are so much alike! There’s 2 and half years between them and I photographed them both. Funny thing I rarely remember how baby was at his or her shoot especially years after but every single photo that I look at again even years after just brings me back to the day I captured the baby on my camera! And this feel so damn special! They’ll only be this tiny for such a short time, they change so quick, this newborn stage lasts literally minutes in the global sense (I know because I have 14 and 18 year olds at home). Yeah you can take hundreds photos of them every day as they grow with your phone but will that feel the same years after or will it be just hundreds photos on your phone? I don’t know, you decide for yourself. Will you frame those and put them on the wall? Hmmmm not sure about that. But I’m here if you wish to create something special - your baby’s first moments, your family’s memories. Hey mama, There can be a lot of guilt in being a parent. There is the guilt of a working parent that you are not there for every moment, even though you are doing a great job providing for your family. There is the guilt of the stay home mom that you are not providing financially, even though you are caring for little ones all day. There is the guilt that you didn’t provide all organic, homemade meals, when really you provided your children with food. There’s the guilt that your home is a total mess, when really you had a great day playing with and focusing on your children. We compare and think that we are not good enough. . 👑 S I X 👑 . 🚨**Most of this text has been plagiarized from @breannecunningham’s post!**🚨 . Six years with this beautiful, smart, silly, hilarious, sweet little lady! If you know Brielle, you know that she LIVES for birthday parties! One of her favorite games to play has always been “birthday party” 💕 she will set up the plates and toy food and all sorts of little trinkets as decorations…she will load up bags and boxes with a variety of items for presents. She’ll put her stuffed animals all around the table, and she’ll call us in to sing happy birthday. So when birthdays come around, it’s a big deal over here (birthday party posts from Lily and Brielle’s parties coming soon…it’s been busy haha) . We’re very sad to see “5” go. What an amazing year she has had! Yet, we know that there are an infinite amount of experiences we have left to uncover with Brielle! It has been amazing to watch her grow this year. . She accepted Christ as her savior, graduated preschool, started kindergarten at a new school with all new people, making all new friends while spending entire days away from Mom and Dad. She learned how to read, how to be flexible, how to be a better friend, saw her first movie theater movies, and she even knows how to tell a few proper jokes now! (Interrupting cow, whMOOOOOOOOO!) Haha . She continues to love art, animals (especially giraffes), Disneyland, Willy Wonka, and Bluey, but she has some new favorite things too…like chocolate (FINALLY! Lol) Barbies and princesses! . We love this little girl. We had a huge Disneyland themed birthday party yesterday, and she bounced in her bounce house from 9am-8pm. Today was full of rest, family, and playing with new toys. She also had some mommy time and got her first mani-pedi followed by target and Starbucks! (Ps thanks to the Bluey team for her birthday morning Surprise today!!!) . Sweet little peanut 😍 this photo didn’t happen straight away, she made me work for it 😅 but we managed in the end and that was the cutest final touch to the session! Please note - i am always baby led, in every single of my session. I watch and I listen to your baby, I understand his or her needs, mood and preferences. Oh yes, 2 week old can have preferences alright. I’ll never push your baby to pose or do something he or she doesn’t want to do (sorry mommas, but sometimes we have to go from plan a to plan b) so if baby doesn’t want to be posed one way or another - we stop Sometimes however I can try again and magic does happen. On our Easter trip down to Dorset we went for a day out to Seaton tramway, @seatontramway I would highly recommend this for a a visit as the boys loved this and it’s another dog friendly location in Dorset! 🚃 Our tram driver was hilarious and really made the experience! We were lucky to have him on both journeys. 🚃 At the end of the line there was a little cafe and fab play area for the kids. 🚃 Back at the entrance there is a brand new dino themed soft play, unfortunately they were full when we were there so we didn’t go in to play. 👍🏻 #daysoutdorset #daysoutwithkids #seatontram #dogfriendlydorset #dorset #staycationuk #familydaysout

Waffly Good!! These were possibly the best waffles I’ve ever had plus they were gluten free, I couldn’t tell they just tasted amazing! 🧇 @waffleaxminster is 100% worth a visit if you are in the area! Oh those first days when you finally get to see the adorable face that you’ve only dreamt about for the past nine months. You soak in every detail of their face; every expression they make. It’s pure bliss. I remember meeting my daughter for the first time- she was so tiny, but had huge, adorable cheeks (shown here). But what freaked me out was how much she looked like me- and honestly, I’m not sure I really see it, but everyone continues to point out how much she resembles me. I didn’t have a birth plan with my first baby; but what I had envisioned for those first moments after my son arrived definitely weren’t what happened. I had hoped for the moment where I was exhausted, but exhilarated; worn to core, but so in love. Instead I felt like a bit of an imposter- I had preeclampsia and my body didn’t respond to the petocin. My life and my son’s life were at risk and after the c-section, I really just wanted water and a solid nap. In the following days, I couldn’t bring myself to put the effort into photographing my son. My second birth was much different (a scheduled c-section and skin to skin time immediately after she was pulled out. But I wasn’t going to miss out on those photos in the hospital, so I hired my friend to do a Fresh 48. The world is a beautiful, mess blur in those first days. Man, can we just talk about how time moving by quickly can be a complete punch in the gut? It’s incredible how a simple portrait can draw you in. As a parent, when I look back at my kids in photos, I’m reminded of their tiny characteristics and quirks that embodied them at that age. In the moment, you don’t completely absorb the missing tooth or rounder cheek or the fact that they’re in costume- because it’s all part of what’s happening in your life. And then a few years pass and their characteristics have evolved and you slowly forget the tiny part that was once a part of them.
