Sixteen years later, this girlie still allows me to take her photos and I’m so grateful! As she grows more independent, naturally she needs her own space to grow into her own. But I love that through the years, her personality is unwavering and so is her knowledge of random useless facts 😂 but she also has a deep well of useful facts as well! Leah’s little sister secretly looks up to her and can rival her incredible artistic skills. So she too wanted her own time to shine in front of the camera as well! I still need to take Eden’s 10 year old photoshoot and Asher’s 13 year old pictures too! I try and create shoots in settings that highlights their unique personalities, so stay tuned! My sweet daughter Adelaide will turn two this summer, and for much of her little life she has been following me into my photography studio while I set up for sessions, clean up after cake smashes, photograph products, package up client orders, and organize our props. Grayson was the same way, always coming into the studio with me at a young age and finding something to play with. I have always recognized what a gift this business is to our family. Beyond providing an option for me to be a small business owner, it’s shown my children what is possible for them, their lives, and their futures is only limited by their imaginations. Ostatnio cały czas wyświetlają mi się posty o macierzyństwie, bo jakby nie patrzeć jestem ich targetem 👀 dyskusja o tym, czy powrót do pracy jest dobry, o tym kiedy on powinien nastąpić - z jednej strony #girlboss, które mówią, że wszystko da się pogodzić, z drugiej mamy które w pełni odnalazły się w roli mamy i nie chcą godzić jej z niczym innym. ✨ 🙃 Nikt nie porusza tego w innym kontekście, mówi się tym o więzi matki z dzieckiem, jej zaburzeniu (w obu przypadkach, zależnie kogo słuchasz, co jest w pewien sposób śmieszne i przerażające zarazem). 💡 Jak to jest z mojej perspektywy? Powinnyśmy przestać narzucać innym swoje podejście, a przy tym nie szukać odpowiedzi na pytanie „co jest najlepsze dla mojej rodziny” u innych, a w sobie 🫶 Nikt za nas nie podejmie tej decyzji, a zawsze znajdą się zwolennicy i przeciwnicy, jednak jeśli będziesz podążała za sobą, zasypiała spokojnie. Oba „macierzyńskie” mam aktywne zawodowo, tym razem mniej, również na moich zasadach, czy uważam, że to jedyna dobra droga? NIE, nawet jestem pewna, że to droga dla nie wielu, bo jest trudna i wymaga ode mnie więcej, aby nie było to kosztem moich dzieci. Czy było warto? Okaże się za kilka lat 🤪 fot. @twoja.historia
