10 years ago I put on my bandana, fired up my Fender Twin and captured some magic sounds on an album called "How Long" with The Tower and The Fool for @runforcover records. It was a unique and creative time in my life and I made some great music and even greater friends. Happy 9th anniversary to The Tower & The Fool's 'How Long' - released April 24, 2012. I'm not really a fan of country, or maybe better put, I'm just picky about it. However, if all country sounded this way, I'd be hooked. Now, I'm using the term 'country' here fairly liberally. This is an alt-Country music album. Sort of a punk-Americana? It's one of my favorite autumn, or rainy day, soundtracks. It's a shame it's the only album they've recorded.

Day 28 of the #SpooktacularVinylChallenge is 'Harvest'. Not only does the cover of The Tower and the Fool's 'How Long' have a beautiful photo cover of harvest fields, but it's a FANTASTIC album. It's so hard to describe the style of this band. It's indie, emo folk-rock, but some tracks ALMOST border country. It sounds more like a country album than a lot of actual country albums today. Check them out if you like City and Colour, or Kevin Devine. I wish this band would return. They dropped this debut LP in 2012 and vanished ever since. It's seriously so good. (Shoutout to @church_of_skramz for recommending this album to me so long ago.)

April 28. Haunted (spooky/creepy record): The Tower and The Fool “How Long” - Swamp green/300 . Not necessarily spooky or creepy (tbh, the Thoroughbreds soundtrack would have fit that description best), but it’s glum and lonely and doesn’t seem to have an ounce of hope. After more than a month of near total isolation I feel like that fits the bill enough right now.

Day 10 #augustvinylchallenge coloured record @uturnaudio @needledrops this record is swamp green and is probably one of my favourite coloured records I own with green being my favourite colour this would always stand out. Another release from my favourite record label #runforcoverrecords #runforcover literally no matter what genre of music they release its very very rare they'll sign a band or artist that I won't end up loving they're music. This would be another band I'll probably never get the pleasure of seeing live but this is a masterpiece of a record IMO very mixed reviews when it was originally released in 2012 but it's such a relaxed and well created record with massive country influences.
