I had to forgive England 😅🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 If you're on my newsletter you'd have seen me share about a recent experience with inner healing. I had a RMR (Rapid Mindset Renewal) session which deals with healing painful past memories particularly from Childhood. My session was faith based but I have seen versions that are not too. Why do we need inner healing? Well as we journey through life we eventually face some painful and hard situations. Our minds create a meaning or story about those events which we carry through to adulthood. Without knowing we play out those stories, like a computer program. We may experience the same sort of challenge over and over. Or find that we get to a certain stage in our goal and sabotage the same way over and over. It's a result of that programming playing out. So to get a different result, we need a different program. In my session I realised Id experienced trauma when I moved to England from the only place I'd known and all the people I'd known. I withdrew into myself and became shy and reserved. In my session the facilitator asked if I needed to forgive England, I laughed and knew it was a YES! In this fast paced world, Unacknowledged pain and trauma is truly costly but comes at a benefit to some major cooperations and industries. When the pain is deep, our brain goes into all sorts of modes of coping mostly outside of our conscious awareness Many of us try to fill the voids left by unmet emotional needs in ways we aren’t always aware of. This can manifest through various channels, such as relentlessly pursuing career success, overindulging in shopping, or continuously seeking approval or relief. These behaviors are often subconscious attempts to gain the love, security, or attention we felt deprived of in our earlier years. While these actions might provide temporary relief or fleeting satisfaction, they rarely address the deeper emotional needs at their core. Nurturing Lives was born out of one of the most difficult times in my life. Take a breath…😮‍💨 There are signs of healing and change in you - notice them and celebrate them ❤️‍🩹🫶 Someone poking a core wound and you not reacting the same way is such a test- it’s a win and a testament to all your hard work when you respond differently and feel less agitated and upset. This happened to me just last night, on a thread that was seriously difficult and sensitive for me. Also a person IRL and someone else online! But my reactions were so different than they would have been even couple of years ago. The thread: ✨I spoke on firmly but respectfully and made a decision to unfollow. The IRL person: ✨I let my feelings be known and was honest. In their court this- no stress about it. The online person: ✨spent a few minutes processing then came to a realisation that was useful. There was only a ruffle through my system on that one, the thread moreso but still I’ve got tools and I have to use them 👌 I know It’s continuously coming atcha , but it can’t be like a loop that you just live in- that’s a cycle within you- this is the truth and yes it’s hard but you can take your power back. You will find yourself able to cope with the same situations and either not have a response in the way you used to and : or manage the emotions and charge quite quickly by using the tools you have. We heal by changing the meaning to things and regulating the body and by having worked unconsciously to resolve. If you keep spinning and being triggered the same way it’s time to change what you’re doing, find someone or something new. Do you have any experiences to share around this?
