In February we had amazing trip to Hikkaduva, Sri Lanka with my friends☀️🌊 We had the best time sunbathing (with sun protection of course😂) , splashing in warm water and exploring the tiny coastal town. The beaches like belonged to us, cos there are not a lot of people, felt like we were almost alone! And we liked that the local people were warm and welcoming. One of my favorite parts was watching the stunning sunsets. We’d grab some snacks and beer, find a cozy spot on the sand, and just soak it all in 🥰 We also had a scary story about us swimming in the sea when suddenly we found out that the waves are taking us farther and farther to the deep ocean 🫣 later we knew it’s called “Rip currents“, we thought we would die 😰super scary thing Luckily we were able to get back to the shore and thanks for the help of one brave Englishman 🙏🏻 But all in all, we really enjoyed staying in Hikkaduva. This past year I have gotten to spend more time in nature than I ever have before. Fossil Beach, on the Mornington Peninsula. A lovely wander along the edge of Port Phillip Bay, looking for fossils (didn't find many). There's quite a big reserve along the cliff with paths down to the beach and along the top. We found loads of fossilised wood and bits of shell, and a few jellyfish on the sand.
