They’re @pearljam lyrics from their song “I Am Mine,” and lyrics that I’ve always held near and dear to my heart, so much so that I also have them tattooed on my wrist as a reminder! Seeing these words this morning came as a reminder that life isn’t easy, but it’s what we make of it. It’s not what happens to us but rather how we choose to react and deal when shit goes sideways and not as planned! We have one life, one shot at this, and while we aren’t perfect, there’s beauty within those non-perfect moments—you just have to look for it. We are only the people we are today because of life and the experiences we have lived through, good and bad. We’re here now, so enjoy it and live it up.
