Warm earthy spring vibes. P & A wanted peach tones but with a warm spring accent. We chose flowers that had tonal.range of peach to create depth but also complementary colours to create a harmonious blend. The slight pop of yellow, blue, and lilac stopped the designs from looking flat and kept it in line with the season. Including hints of greenery and some delicate pops of neutral-coloured flowers helped unify the palette. As always, we can't help but add a sweet pea in our designs. This wedding urn was created the last week of April of last year. If I had to pick ONE week out of the year for flowers, it would be that one. You never know exactly how each season is going to go. I was out planting things in the rain today, and looking around I thought of this urn. None of these flowers are in bloom yet in the field. So it makes me wonder, can all of these flowers really appear in as early as the next two weeks? The answer is YES. Two weeks at this time of year is a lifetime in terms of blooming flowers, especially with these warm temperatures. Let's see what happens, but fingers crossed that our fruit trees explode with blossom sooner rather than later, I don't think I can wait much longer. ❤️

I raided the linen stash for the dark backdrop. It highlights those fuzzy grasses beautifully. Lyndy has been picking every stem from the farm patch to use in gift bouquets and so these blooms are from my garden. These colours wouldn’t necessarily have been our preference but we love the challenge of working with what we have. It forces the imagination, we can’t just waltz through the flower market with a colour palette in mind. The garden provides all the inspiration.
