Philly Cheese Steak(ish). Made with homemade seitan and probably the easiest and most versatile seitan recipe for the vegan homecook. The seitan strips were made from my “everyday seitan” on my blog. 2 large portobello mushrooms 1 large shallot (or yellow onion) 1 Tbl avocado oil 1 Tbl dried parsley 1 tsp garlic powder 1 Tbl dark soy sauce 1 Tbl vegan Worcester sauce 1 pound sliced seitan strips 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced 6 slices @fieldroast Chao cheese Cut portobello into thick strips. Slice shallot into thin strips. Saute over high heat until portobello starts to brown. About 10 minutes. Add oil, dried parsley, garlic powder, soy sauce, and Worcester. Cook for 5 minutes. Add seitan and bell pepper. Cook over high heat for 5 minutes while occasionally flipping. Top with cheese and place pan under the broiler for 2 minutes to melt the cheese. Flip and mix until cheese is incorporated. The key to this is time and patience. You’ll be tempted to flip and stir a lot but you want the portobello to char a little. Stir until smooth, adding more water or oil to thin (just a little at a time). 𝗜𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀: 3 cups (600 g) of cooked Rice (slightly warm) 2 1/2 cups (212 g) of Broccoli Slaw roughly chopped (find it in the bagged salad section of your grocery store) 1 (16 oz) can of Chick Peas rinsed and drained 1/2 cup (17 g) Cilantro chopped (you can sub parsley) Squeeze of Lemon Salt & Pepper to taste 𝗟𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗮𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗶 𝗗𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴: 2 Tbsp (30 g) of Tahini Juice from 1 Lemon 3 Tbsp (45 ml) of good Olive Oil 1 tsp of (5 ml) Vegan Honey or Maple Syrup 2 -3 Tbsp (30-45 ml) Water to thin as needed Salt & Pepper to taste 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: 1. WINTER KALE AND FARRO SALAD By @betterfoodguru Ingredients * 3 tbsp olive oil extra virgin, divided * 3 garlic cloves whole * 3 baby bell peppers halved * 2 cups cauliflower florets * 8 oz farro cooked according to package and cooled * 1 bunch kale washed, stemmed and chopped in bite sized peices * 1 lemon large, juiced * 1 tbsp sesame tahini * 1/2 cup pomegranate arils * 1/2 tsp salt * 1 black pepper to taste * 1 sprig rosemary torn * 1/2 tsp garlic powder * 1 cup kabocha squash cubed * Preheat oven to 400 degrees Method * Spread cauliflower florets, garlic cloves bell peppers and kabocha squash in a single layer on a sheet pan. Drizzle with 1 tbsp olive oil, a pinch of salt, garlic powder and rosemary. Toss with hands to distribute oil and seasoning well and bake for 20 minutes. Then let cool. * In a large mixing bowl add the kale, remaining olive oil, lemon, tahini, salt, pepper and roasted garlic. Massage the kale gently for 5 minutes mixing all of the flavors into the kale. This is dressing the salad. Melding the ingredients together with your hands will relax the kale and produce maximum flavor. * Add the cooked farro and mix. Then add in the roasted and cooled veggies and the pomegranite arils. (Chop the peppers first in smaller bite sized pieces)Taste for seasoning. Adjust if you like to add more salt or lemon. This salad will get more flavorful as it sits so be careful not to over salt. .

Plant based recipes for muscle growth fat loss and a healthier lifestyle Visit my website in bio!!! 🌶️️ How about a Spicy Red Curry Noodle Soup by @terianncarty to warm up a cold day? 😍 ​SAVE and Try👇👇 ​1/2 pack tofu drained and pressed 1 tbsp olive oil Pinch sea salt and cracked Pepper 1/2 small onion 2 cloves garlic 1 inch piece ginger minced 1/2 red pepper diced 1 1/2 cup shiitake mushroom sliced 1 carrot cut in rounds 2 tbsp red curry paste 2 1/2 cups vegetable broth 2 cups water 1 can coconut milk 1 pack noodle of choice Handful spinach Handful peanuts SAUCE * 3 Tbsp tamari * 1 Tbsp peanut butter * 2 tbsp maple syrup * 1 clove garlic (minced) * 1-2 tsp sriracha * 1 tsp toasted sesame oil Whisk all ingredients in a small bowl Method Preheat oven to 425 degrees (on convection if your oven has this option. If not, then increase the cook time by 5 minutes. Toss the cubed tofu with 1 Tbsp olive oil, salt, and pepper and spread out evenly on a cookie sheet. Bake for 20 minutes, remove and set aside. Prepare the noodles according to the package directions and drain, rinse and set aside. In a large pot heat olive oil and chili flakes. Add onions and sauté for a few minutes. Add in garlic and ginger. Toss in mushrooms, and carrot and cook until carrot starts to soften. Add peppers and toss to combine. Add curry paste tossing everything to coat. Next, pour veggie broth and water in pot. Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer. Season with salt and pepper. Once vegetables are cooked add in tofu, spinach and coconut milk. Potato curry with chickpeas by @earthofmariaa recipe: 1 tsp olive oil 1 medium onion, diced 3 cloves garlic, minced 1 tbsp tomato paste 2 tsp garam masala 2 tbsp cumin 1 tsp turmeric 1/2 tsp paprika 2 cups potatoes, chopped 1 can coconut milk 1/2 can chopped tomatoes 2 tbsp curry powder 1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed 1 cup green peas 2 cups spinach Juice of 1/2 lemon Salt and pepper to taste Heat the oil in a pan and then add the onion and garlic. Cook for 3-4 minutes. Now add the tomato paste, garam masala, cumin, turmeric and paprika, cooking for a few minutes more and stirring continuously. Add the potatoes, coconut milk, chopped tomatoes and curry powder. Bring to a light simmer and cook for around 15 minutes before adding the chickpeas and green peas. Cook for a further 10-15 minutes, or until the potatoes are fully fork-tender. Stir in the spinach and lemon juice, also seasoning to taste with salt and pepper.

Add the rest of the ingredients and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and simmer for about 5 minutes. The longer you simmer the more the it will dry out . This time I wanted it a little thicker and drier, but other times I have made this more soupier!

 ​1 cup cashews, soaked and rinsed 3/4 cup of water 1 large lemon 2 garlic cloves Salt to taste 1 tbsp fresh dill 👉🏼​Steps ​Preheat oven to 425 F/ 220 C. Toss chickpeas with olive oil and seasoning, and place them along with the sweet potatoes on a large, lined baking tray. Bake for about 30 minutes, take chickpeas out of the oven (if they are not crispy yet bake them for an additional 5-10 minutes), and continue baking the sweet potatoes until they are fork tender. Depending on their size it takes 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 min total. In the meantime prepare couscous, cut veggies into small pieces, and add everything to a bowl. Add about 1/4 cup (or more to preference) of the dressing to the salad, and serve the rest with the stuffed sweet potatoes. Tip: Use leftover filling and dressing for a wrap or add more greens and serve as a salad!

Roasted Rainbow Carrots Hummus Recipe: ​Ingredients 3 medium sized carrots (I used rainbow carrots) 11/2 cups cooked chickpeas (preferably skin removed for a smoother consistency) 1/2 cup tahini 4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil plus 1 tbsp for roasting the carrots, divided 2 cloves of garlic 3-4 tbsp lemon juice (according to taste) 1/2 tsp ground cumin 1 tsp ground cayenne Salt, to taste ​ Wash the carrots and dice them into smaller pieces. Heat a cast iron skillet to medium and add about a tbsp of EVOO. Add the carrots to the skillet, sprinkle some salt, and sauté them until they are cooked through and tender. You may cover the skillet to make the carrots cook faster and evenly. This takes about 15-20 minutes. Set aside. In a food processor or blender, combine the chickpeas, tahini, garlic, lemon juice, cumin, cayenne, and salt. Process until smooth and creamy. Add 2 tbsp olive oil and continue to blend Add the roasted carrots and continue processing. You may add a tablespoon of ice cold water at a time to blend easily and to achieve the right consistency. Vegan Roasted Tomato Pizza By @foodpassionical Prep time: 30 minutes Cook time: 20 minutes Rising time: 1 hour Preheat oven 180c (356f) (Makes 2 8’inch pizza) Pizza dough: 400g (2 1/2 cups) All purpose flour 1 tsp instant yeast 2 tbsp sugar 1/2 tsp salt 2 tbsp olive oil or vegetable oil 230-240ml warm water (approximately) Roasted tomato: 600g cherry tomatoes 2 tsp garlic powder 1/2 tsp chilli flakes 1 tbsp sugar (optional) 1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp black pepper 2 tbsp olive oil For toppings: Vegan ricotta cheese Fresh basil Chilli flakes Method: 1.) Add the dough ingredients into the the mixing bowl, use spatula to mix the ingredients till no more dry flour. Cover and rest the dough for 20 minutes. 2.) After 20 minutes continue kneading the dough till soft, cover and rest the dough for 1 hour. 3.) On a heat proof pan, add the cherry tomatoes and the rest of the ingredients. Bake the tomatoes for 20 minutes and set aside. 4.) Prepare the pizza pan by sprinkling some semolina on the pan to keeps dough from sticking and set aside. 5.) After 1 hour, knead again the dough for about 1-2 minutes, divide the dough into 2. (Work with one dough at a time, always cover the dough to prevent the dough from drying). Place the dough on a clean surface and flatten the dough about 8 inch. Transfer the dough on the prepared pizza pan. Cover the dough with tablecloth for 10 minutes. 6.) Spread the tomato purée on top of the pizza dough, and fill with the roasted tomatoes. Bake the pizza for 200c for 20-25 minutes. Remove from the oven and top with vegan ricotta cheese and bake for 2-3 minutes until the cheese in browned. Top with sweet basil and sprinkle with chilli flakes, slice and serve.

You can also use cooked brown lentils. 1 jalapeño seeded and diced 1 garlic clove, minced 1/2 cup frozen corn 1 red bell pepper diced 1 tomato seeded and diced 1/3 cup canned black beans, water drained Kosher salt, to taste 2 teaspoons chili powder 1 teaspoon ground cumin Ground black pepper, to taste 3 tbsp of Queso style dip 1 or 2 tubs of Traditional or Spicy Guacamole for serving. Green onions for garnish 6 flour tortillas 3 teaspoons olive oil 1/2 cup vegan shredded cheddar cheese. Method: Preheat the oven at 375F. Use a 3-inch cookie cutter to cut out 4 taco shells from each tortilla. Warm the tortillas for 10 to 20 seconds, covered, in a microwave, or wrap in foil and heat in a warm oven until pliable. Spray or brush the mini muffin tin pan with oil. Then tortillas into the openings of a muffin tin. Repeat with a second mini muffin tin or repeat after cooking first batch of mini taco shells, for a total of 24. Spray or brush the tortillas with oil and bake for 10 min until edges are golden brown. Meanwhile in a large cast iron pan heat 2 tbsp of oil over a medium-high heat. Add the diced onions and sauté until transparent, then add the vegan minced meat and cook for 10 min by stirring it constantly. Then add the garlic, jalapeño, bell peppers, tomatoes, corn and black beans. Continue cooking for 8 min over a medium heat. Add the seasoning, 3 tbsp of Queso dip and salt to taste. Simmer for 5 min. Set aside. Add a heaping spoonful of taco mixture to each tortilla shell. Sprinkle with shredded cheese then bake again for 10 min or until cheese is melted. Garnish with chopped green onions.

Sprinkle them with a bit of salt and white pepper (optional). Heat up oil and fry tofu for about 4-5 minutes, carefully flip over and fry for another 3-4 minutes until browned and lightly crispy. Add sweet chili sauce and stir until evenly coated and caramelized. Serve with stir-fried vegetables, and brown rice. Sweet Chili Sauce 1/2 cup rice vinegar 1/2 cup coconut sugar 1/2 cup water 1 tbsp sambal oelek 1/2 tbsp chili flakes (use 1 tsp for less heat) 1 tbsp coconut aminos 2 garlic cloves, grated 1/2 tbsp ginger, grated 1 tbsp cornstarch, dissolved in 2 tbsp of water Pinch of salt to taste Add all ingredients except cornstarch to a small sauce pan, and bring to a boil. When the sugar is dissolved, stir in cornstarch slurry and keep stirring until sauce thickens. Simmer for a few more minutes. Refrigerate remaining sauce in a glass jar.

Preheat oven to 425. Add the cauliflower and broccoli to a large bowl and drizzle with 1/2 of the lime juice and 1 tsp oil. Toss to combine. Sprinkle with all seasonings and toss to evenly coat. Transfer to oven and roast for 25 minutes. 2. While veggies are roasting, bring a saucepan of water to a boil and add black lentils. Reduce heat and simmer for 12-13 minutes until tender but not mushy. Drain the lentils and return to the saucepan. Add in the shredded cabbage and remaining lime juice and toss to combine. 3. While lentils and cauliflower are cooking, add all ingredients for chutney to a blender and puree until smooth. Season to taste. 4.
