She was once used for dog fighting, and that trauma instilled fear reactivity in her. Let's help a friend out! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Volunteers have nothing but sweet things to say about this stud. They describe him as cute as can be, an agility all-star and a complete ham for a little affection. So, why is he still in the shelter? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Hercules has been adopted twice. The first time he was returned within a day after getting into an altercation with another dog. Now, the most important thing to do when you adopt a dog is to let them decompress. Not for a few hours. We’re talking about weeks, maybe even months. Shelter life can be really overwhelming/traumatizing. Let them rest, let them get to know and trust you. The dog park can wait. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The 2nd time, Hercules got returned after a few months due to a biting incident. Volunteers had him out many times after that and had nothing but great experiences with him though... ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Let third time be a charm! Hercules really needs a hero, someone who'll understands his needs. He's obviously very uncomfortable at the shelter and his long stay is taken a toll on his health. He deserves a soft bed in a loving home with patient people who see him for the sweet and attentive friend he truly is. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Hercules only has one demand that’s non-negotiable: his family cannot be stingy with belly rubs.
