After #deathandcompany, Tebay’s career in #cocktails continued & she is now the #beveragedirector for venues in London. The High Horse is not just a delicious #libation, it’s also a history lesson. Although best known for #whiskeyproduction, the US also has a rich history in brandy & #rum. Brandy made its way to America by way of European settlers. Rum on the other hand originated in the Caribbean, but after being colonized by the British, they brought the spirit to New England in the 17th cent. The High Horse was thought up when Tebay thought of George Washington & colonial flavors. I have to say, in writing this it’s the first time that I’ve ever considered colonial flavors, so hats off to her. In doing so, her mind immediately went to the proverbial cherry tree. The name is as clever as the history-inspired #cocktail. It is inspired by the many classic portraits of the nation’s first president on a horse & also takes into account the narrative that young George could not tell a lie. Tebay’s use of colonial-era ingredients is equally thoughtful & a nod to US history. The High Horse unites Washington’s cherry association w/ his well-known appreciation for rum & other spirits. She combines aged rum w/ 2 different cherry #spirits, #sweetvermouth & Angostura #bitters. Kirsch is a slightly bitter, clear brandy made from sour cherries. I didn’t have Kirsch, so I used a VSOP. Cherry liqueur adds a kick of cherry sweetness. With the addition of sweet vermouth & bitters, we have a concoction that would make even GW proud! @originalbumbuau @cocchi_uk

Ho ho ho, hic 🤶🎄 Christmas is Coming We know that Christmas is close when we start sending our annual Schutz MX-EX IBC orders to various whisky distillers. We love seeing this seasonally coloured lorry arrive, it makes us feel festive. 😊 The Schutz MX-EX IBCs are specialist containers used to transport liquids with a flashpoint of 60 degrees or lower. The inner bottle is manufactured with multi-layer technology, the anti-static outer layer protects the container from hazardous electrostatic charge, whilst the earthing valve discharges any electrostatic charge from the filling material. This technology makes the MX-EX IBCs the go-to packaging for flammable products like alcohol and the popular Christmas tipple, whisky. Our latest IBC delivery is going to the furthest possible point in Scotland, so far north, it could be heading to the North Pole. I guess Santa must know many people like a wee dram of the strong stuff at Christmas. 🧪Только с появлением собаки начинаешь замечать реагенты. Раньше идешь по этим кристаллам такой и ладно. Ничего не происходит. Но когда ты с собакой, то обходишь при любой возможности. А сыплют его везде, где мы тусуемся - метро, МЦК, у подъездов, у светофоров🚦. Сейчас мне кажется, что вообще везде. Я вообще раньше думал, что он к весне тает и исчезает, но нет. Все лето лежит на газонах рядом с бордюрами, ждет зимы. Висяш по реагентам когда бежит, вижу что они еще и покалываются. Ну это как если сам побежишь по рассыпанным на асфальте камешкам🪨А тут еще и мороз. У нас во дворе Вискина подруга, вообще гулять выходит только на передних лапах🐾. Видимо задние лапы слишком чувствительны. Хотя она наверно от холода так. А иногда Висяша просто беру на руки и несу. А она у нас тяжеляк, почти 1️⃣5️⃣ кг. весит. Но лапы дороже! Я сам не пробовал, но наверное от реагентов еще и щипает лапы, особенно если подушечки потресканы. У Висяша кстати передние очень шершавые, а задние нет. Мы тут ей воск для лап купили🧴, а она его не полюбила. Вонючий немного он, а ей вообще видимо вонь😷. Будем пробовать тапки, если они ей понравятся, то будем подольше чем 5 минут гулять. А еще видел такие наклейки на лапы. Наклеил и вот тебе защитный слой🩹. ‼️Цитопоинт. Что за зверь❓ ⠀ ⛑С апреля с этого года Виски обошла много врачей и сдала много анализов. 🥭Спасибо Манго страхование! Диагноз ставят один - атопический дерматит😕. У Виски он выражается в сильном чесе ушей и боков. При этом на теле нет никаких высыпаний. Аллерген определить пока не можем. ⠀ 👩⚕️Врачи нам прописывали разное лечение, но оно помогало так себе, да и прописываемые препараты имеют много побочки. ⠀ Я очень надеялась, что нам помогут: переход на натуралку🍖 или Наринэ, или увлажнитель💨, или танцы с бубнами. Не помогло! ⠀ ✅Но я очень рада, что Виски перешла на натуралку и Наринэ мы пьем теперь всей семьей, да и с бубном поиграть можно. А уж о пользе увлажнителя в зимний период все знают👌🏻. ⠀ ✊🏻О цитопоинте первый раз мне рассказала @sbezenkova. Светлана нам всегда помогала полезными советами и в этот раз вникла в нашу проблему. Врачи нам не предлагали цитопоинт, так как его сложно найти в России, да и цена совсем не демократичная - 9500 рублей, Карл!🤯 ⠀ Две недели назад я сдалась и купила Цитопоинт. Давно надо было это сделать 🤦🏼♀️. ⠀ ❓Что делает цитопоинт? Препарат подавляет зуд и предотвращает расчесывание, которое является главным фактором развития заболевания. ⠀ 💉После укола чес прекращается в течении 8 часов. И вы даже не представляете какое это счастье, когда собака не чешется день, два, три… когда она спокойно спит всю ночь😴 и ты не вскакиваешь, когда песель начинает раздирать себе пузу. Это поймет, наверное, только хозяин атопика! ⠀ ➖Но есть огромный минус - это действие укола. Действует он 2-3 месяца, потом опять колоть, а это 9500 рублей, Карл!🤯 Помочь укол может не всем. Как сказал мне врач - всегда есть исключение. ⠀ ✅Сейчас у Виски все хорошо. Чеса нет, залысины зарастают, но мы понимаем, что это временно и наша проблема до конца не решена, но хоть есть небольшая передышка. ⠀ Есть здесь атопики? С наступлением холодов Виски совсем не хочет выходить на улицу😖. Знает что там сразу пятачок замерзнет. Вчера кое-как вытащили ее на прогулку пройтись полчасика. Ну тогда солнце было☀️, а без солнышка никуда. Сбегает быстро по своим делам и сразу домой тянет. В прошлую зиму гуляла в морозы❄️☃️ и ничего. Наиграется в снегу с другими собаками и вся мокрая бежит домой довольная морда😊. Придется снова привыкать к снегу, морозам и реагентам. 🐗Про заглядывание в пасть. Виски вообще любитель погрызть. Палки и сахарные косточки - это самое любимое. Но есть одно но! ⠀ Хотя бы раз в неделю, а лучше каждый день, нам нужно заглядывать собаке в пасть на предмет не застряла ли щепка между зубов, не воткнулась ли кость в небо. Стаффики же боли могут не чувствовать. Ну подумаешь кровь🩸, подумаешь рана, подумаешь порез. Все это фигня, главное же полученное удовольствие! ⠀ 🎋Однажды Висяшу палка попала между рядами зубов верхней челюсти как растопырка. Перекусывала она какую-то очередную ветку, а она свежая была, эластичная. Вижу морду чешет лапой, а там эта растопырка. Выковырял сразу. А есть такие собаки я читал, что могут неделями ходить так, не показывать хозяину лапой, терпеть. ⠀ Да и кроме палок и костей еще куча чего может воткнуться. Например колоски летом🌾 от какого-то сорняка. Это же вообще как иглы, могут впиться даже глубоко в небо. Потом с пинцетом ловить. Только поди узнай о нем, если о воткнулся там, где не видно. ⠀ В общем, заглядывайте в пасть вашей собаке почаще. Если месяцами не смотреть, то помимо палок, осколков костей🦴 и колосков, там может найтись много чего интересного. 💻Сижу днем за компом значит, а Виски за мной на диванчике развалилась🛋. Лежит, не спит. Поворачиваюсь к ней узнать, не заснула ли, а она не спит. Знаете что она делалет? Смотрит на меня с умилительной улыбочкой и любуется👀. Вот как не посмотрю на нее, а она все смотрит на меня. Я даже тихонечко пытался поворачиваться, чтобы не почувствовала. Неа, лежит и смотрит на меня своими пуговками, моргает синхронно два раза, как будто фотографирует, вздыхает и продолжает смотреть дальше😍. ⠀ Конечно, Висяшь в это время скучает. И что бы я не делал, я всегда в такие моменты останавливаюсь и уделяю ей хотя бы 5️⃣ минут. А потом, обычно, не выдерживаю и иду с ней на 15 минут на улицу. После таких коротких прогулок Виски всегда засыпает и крепко спит.
