Unethical behavior has always been status quo in the yogi bhajan corrupt empire. From degrees obtained through Diploma Mills with his students doing the coursework, to Counselors and Therapists breaking the law by informing yogi bhajan of what went on in their client's private sessions, there was no rule that could not be broken. With no internet at the time, YB could claim anything & there was no way to fact check his lies about the lineage of kundalini yoga that he fabricated and altered, his family status in India, his reasons for leaving Canada etc. He had free reign to lie and took full advantage of it. Why did the 3HO followers of yogi bhajan tolerate his emotional tirades? In retrospect, yogi bhajan had serious impulse control issues, was erratic and prone to emotional outbursts. Incredibly, although many witnessed this, no one objected to their "spiritual" teacher behaving in this way, since he had planted the notion of being a 'saturn teacher' in their heads. This is where Adhara @adhaesteves and I meet Sergio @akaalserge - Sergio had a collection of crystals and I fell in love with the Smoky Quartz. I got myself one and Adhara got one as well. We had our tones with us during White Tantric Yoga so the stones would be filled with the vibrations of Tantric. We later had the pleasure to be seated next to Sergio on the Tantric lines. We connected during dinner. On my bucket list to visit Los Angeles and do a White Tantric Yoga event there. This meditative kriya is a relatively new favorite for me. It's also known as the Meditation to Remove Fear of the Future. I learned of it just last month in my Level 2 Teacher Training and decided on it for my 90-day, 31-minute meditation to complete the course. I'm on Day 28, but I love it. I loved it so much that I wanted to share it for the last Pocket-Sized Kundalini session of 2023. This kriya takes away your fears of the future, which have been created by your subconscious memories of the past. It opens up your heart center, allowing you to release and let go of the past so that you can be guided by your inner guide to your future. The mudra utilized helps to neutralize the mind's chatter to avoid fear and pain. This chatter prevents us from accessing our intuition and connecting with our hearts. This kriya also prescribes the playing of a shabd that I recently learned is one of intense devotion from writers who had turned away from their higher selves and were recognizing the gift in returning to them, in essence, prodigal children who recognize that coming home to one's self is the greatest gift. So, in that spirit, I wanted to share this gift with attendees. Who are we trusting, and are we learning to develop an unshakeable sense of self-trust as we navigate the winds of change? All this rests in the domain of your personal power, so let’s take a look at how to bring our sense of self-trust to a laser-like focus. We are all navigating this unique time and space together, and regardless of the news headlines we do have the power to make a significant difference. Just finished sharing the Kriya for Healing the Self on the Sutra platform for the latest installment for Pocket-Sized Kundalini. This is a deceptively simple but powerful kriya that helps one come back to themselves and feel whole. It utilizes one of Kundalini Yoga's highest mantras, Ang Sang Wahe Guru, which speaks to the dynamic, loving energy of the universe vibrating through every cell. I was first introduced to this kriya by @ciaosatia in 2018 after feeling depleted from my first year as a caregiver for my mom. It replenished me in a way that allowed me to continue on. The version of the mantra I used was by Jai Kartar, and this version was introduced to me by @spacekittyji in a meditation she facilitated to help process the grief felt after the murder of George Floyd. I have saved this version of the mantra and the one that was used with the kriya in 2018 by Mirabai Ceiba to a Spotify Playlist entitled Kriya for Healing the Self. In this series, I plan to share kriyas, meditations, pranayams, and how to use mantra anytime or anywhere you may need it, not just in the traditional Kundalini classroom setting. Each of these practices can be kept in your "back pocket" for whenever you may need it. Kundalini is a householders' yoga, which means it's one that is meant to be used in our day to day lives not as a means of escape but as a means of facing each day in the best way we can. Here’s what they wrote: You have been blessed to live as Shant Seva Kaur, the Princess/Lioness of God who is a sacred embodiment of the profound tranquility that flows from a life of devotional service. Shant means calm, peaceful and serene. Seva is devotional service. All females receive the name Kaur - the Princess/Lioness of God who walks with grace and strength throughout her life. Yogi Bhajan taught that every woman can attain this divine state and encouraged all to manifest it. I also received this wonderful testimony from my teacher @hillaryfaye108 “Kathryn's peace and authentic radiant presence shines through as she guides the way into living an open hearted life. Kathryn has been practicing yoga for a long time and brings a wealth of knowledge and energies into her offerings including Reiki, Kundalini and Crystals. DISCONNECT TO RECONNECT Holding so much gratitude in my heart for this past week, disconnected from my usual external world to allow reconnection with my self, with the divine, and with community. Being on the land of Ram Das Puri in the desert mountains of New Mexico was so special on many, many levels. It was a “coming of home”; home to that which is my true self, home to that connection with nature, home to really seeing and feeling one another. Through deep presence we can allow our experiences to have lasting imprints on our soul, our heart, our perspective. This Summer Solstice retreat with my Kundalini Yoga family was soul nourishing, transformative and magical. It allowed me to connect with the lineage of this spiritual and yoga practice, its elders, the land it was founded on, and the community it has built and the rebuild it needs. As both someone that practices Kundalini Yoga and as a Teacher, this experience was very significant and personal to me. The 3:40 am daily community sadhana, camping on the land, all the mediation and yoga practices in group energy, the sharing of meals, seeing my Teacher and friends shine their light on stage, making new friends, all the beauty and healing energy of the land, the space for new ways, the laughs, the tears of what needed to be released, the tears of pure love and divine energy, the tears of pure gratitude in my heart… all a forever imprint on my soul, heart, perspective. ✨🤍
