The other day in class I talked about how being able to practice mindfulness is recognizing that the answers you have been searching for, you already know. Like running around your house searching for your glasses only to realize you are wearing them, you can already see. Mindfulness allows us to feel more present and awake. Il est donc nécessaire de garder la mobilité, la souplesse, mais également relâcher les contractures et tensions musculaires générées par les manœuvres et la vie à bord. Tous les matins et le soir c'est donc yoga. I always like to know the story behind things. I don't like to judge a book by its cover. My mom tells me, when I was a little kid and we walked somewhere, every house we passed I asked the same question: whose house is this? Annoying right?😅 I'm like that now as well, I don't ask it out loud but I wonder to myself. When I see someone smiling, I think are they really happy or is that just a polite smile to get everyone off their back? The smile that I think we all know about, the I'm fine smile. When someone's sitting alone I wonder, are they waiting for someone? Do they feel lonely or are they lost in thought like I sometimes am? I feel like so many of us are so much more connected than we think, we can relate to so many things in each other's lives but somehow we don't. We hide behind our comfortable masks and keep our true selves hidden. Why? I guess we're used to it. Backbend or chest opener?! Honestly made much more sense to me see it as a chest opener. While doing a backbend, we go into it with a mind set of bending the back. Which was bringing some lumbar back pain. When I shift into chest opener, the mind set is of open the heart, trust, shine through, being pulled towards the sky bathe breast bone. Inchar moment I feel the strength of open my heart, of facing the world with trust and strength. It’s been a while since I did a ‘Five for Friday’ post. I know it’s Saturday, but I forgot to post these yesterday. Five poses, showing the difference that blocks can make. I’ve tried to illustrate that props can be beneficial to your yoga practice, when used in the right way. The hands are in contact with a surface and are therefore you are more stable. We are all different, with our own unique proportions and sometimes we might need something to help us develop the chosen pose/asana. Your pose does not have to look the same as another person’s, but it does need to be right for you. If a block/strap/cushion/rolled up mat can help, then why wouldn’t you use it?! Reflecting over this week, I taught around 60 people through in-person classes. Some weeks, it is a little less or a little more. I teach nine classes a week: yoga, chair yoga, dance, weight & resistance training. I went to a festival and got to listen to some live music last weekend. I have been chopping and cooking fresh vegan and vegetarian foods daily attempting to get even healthier. I’m here to tell you that is a lot of work. I added in more exercises for myself to do alone because I find that sometimes I only teach instead of still being the student. It has taken years for me to read, learn, and study to educate myself about what really is healthy and what is truly not. Demi Papillon : tendre une jambe devant soi et plie la deuxième en papillon 2. Penche toi vers l’avant, aide toi de tes bras pour ajuster la pose à la sensation idéale 3.
