We can cut non standard bolt patterns and centres for most of our chainrings. This 56T 1x and 42T 1x are both cut to fit the Rotor MAS spider. We also make 1x oval chainrings in 36T, 42T, 44T, 46T, 54T, 56T and 58T, which we cut to match the customer's torque curve, which we can also cut to fit the MAS spider. I felt nervous going into it as I haven’t raced much in the last year, but it felt great getting a number on again and blowing out the cobwebs. Was great to be back, made me realise why I love it. I took the win in 42:56. ………… It’s been a hard winter with not much time to train and a lot of 6am turbo sessions, haven’t been easy. Stage 7 : for all of our double outer chainrings, our oval chainrings and some of our 1x chainrings, we use a small benchtop CNC by @openbuilds and a CAD program called CamBam to cut the centres and bolt patterns ordered by our customers. We can cut many non-standard bolt patterns, including 107BCD and Campag, as well as centres for specific power meters. Stage 5 : machining finished - now ready for anodising. We send the chainrings to a company in Manchester for this. They come back individually wrapped in tissue paper, but with the different sizes all jumbled up. It takes us quite a while to unwrap and sort them into the correct order for decaling. #UKManufacturing #UKMade #CNCMachining # #CyclingGainz #TimeTrialling #Triathlon

Stage 4 : the main CNC process. This takes approximately 15 minutes and involves some automated tool changes, then we turn the plate over and do the same on the other side. How we make our chainrings from scratch in the UK : stage 2. As we mentioned in stage 1, we bolt the plate down at the corners and in the centre during the machining process to ensure it is completely level. This helps us machine very precisely. How we make our chainrings from scratch in the UK : stage 1. We order in 7075 aluminium plate from Germany or Slovenia. The plate is rolled to 4mm thickness and pre cut into 300mm x 300mm squares. Sometimes, when the plate arrives, the thickness tolerances are off, because the rolling mill rollers are worn. I pulled into Britannia Pier at 14.00.40 I can honestly say I wasn’t disappointed as I don’t think I could have made the 41 seconds up anywhere. Other than junctions/lights my foot did not touch the ground. I had taken 1 hour 23minutes off the record. 🤯 (wake me up) Before the ride @_xiangman_ set up Garmin live track and Loaded the Route and the messages from this blew me away. If anyone knows how to retrieve these messages please let me know. My coach Billy, Nick Clarke himself sent about 5 messages of encouragement 🙌🏼 plus sooo many more were sending constant encouragement via garmin messages through the livetrack. My mother said her phone didn’t stop with phone calls and messages from Michael Broadwith (legend) and the RRA community. This ride was definitely made easier by my sponsors and amazing Coach @ftpcyclecoaching @stolen.goat for the best kit ever to train in @precisionfandh for meeting all my nutrition needs. @garminuk your solar830 held its battery while supporting the route and constant messages. Ainda me pergunto se mereço isso, já chorei inúmeras vezes, talvez ainda chore muitas outras por lembrar desse dia, talvez demore semanas ou anos para eu ter noção do que conquistei. Gostaria de agradecer às inúmeras pessoas que fizeram com que eu chegasse a esse dia, não vou citar nomes porque posso esquecer de alguém, mas obrigado por tudo a cada uma delas, pela confiança que colocaram em mim.
