I actually had a few hours to paint today 😊 I took a sketch that I drew (using markers and pencils) when I was up in the Lake District last month and recreated it using gouache first and then pencils. I've often been afraid of creating backgrounds so thought it'd be a good way to get painting without having to rethink what do paint as well. See the original on the last pic to compare (swipe to see) but there's something about both that I like. The DIRECTORY of CREATIVES is a searchable directory of visual creatives in Merseyside. For about 10 years Liverpool Artists' Network has been running between networking events for artists in Merseyside. We have been hosted by Tate Liverpool, the Walker Art Gallery, Bluecoat, Metal, The Florrie, Does, Make North Docks, Output, Convenience Gallery, Liverpool Hope Creative Campus, John Moore University, Fact and The Ship and Mitre. We recently launched our updated website, which now has a searchable DIRECTORY of the arts in Merseyside, www.liverpoolartistsnetwork.org (see link in bio @livartnet). We also have our new WHAT'S ON page where we share art happenings in Merseyside; exhibitions, events, workshops and so much more.
