The Pale Fountains - Pacific Street LP (1984) The Pale Fountains intitally came to my attention with their single Thank You (1982) which predates this album and isn’t included. I think, by the time this came out, I’d lost interest but I bought it regardless... It’s of its time with a 60s easy listening / bossa nova / Burt Bacharach vibe that a few of their contemporaries were also drawn to* Enjoying it today because I’ve only just found out that Michael Head founded the band! I know!! I’ve been buying Head’s other projects for decades and knew this is where he started out, but never knew he was THE significant one here. In all these years, I never bothered to get this out and play it. Consequently, it’s in absolute perfect condiditon.
