After holding onto that rose, the blood that shades on its stems will noticeably alleviate its wounds from the storms it stood up to, and the gusts that came after. After staring blankly into the soft sky, a blink now feels like a burden. When will I close my eyes, and look deeply into the soul which has undergone the shadows made behind the fences of galaxies and stars? After lamenting for those feelings yielded in a flash of a fire, in a bolt of light, in an urn of ashes, they are now loaded up against the heartbeat that’s keeping my soul in touch with the world. After the unfortunate time I miscalculated, infinity seems small enough to carry the weight of my soul. After holding onto that paper with my eyes in heavy rivers, and after witnessing the blood-stained old rose stamped on the left side of it, and after that one name written on the last line before the little rupture, I close my eyes, and my watch stops. I open them again, and three years passed in the blink of an eye, in a tick of a watch, in a nick of time.
