💛 Let’s unite and inspire hope in the world! 🌈 Yesterday, I had a wonderful experience attending the CNY Rotary Sunday brunch and inauguration with our Stamford Rotary Club President, Heidi Pickett and Club District Advisor, Jeff Smith. I was excited to see how members from all three Rotary districts came together. It left me feeling motivated to take meaningful action within the Rotary community. 🦋 I was particularly thrilled to hear from Chris Etienne, the incoming Rotary International Director for 2024-26, who traveled all the way from Michigan to share the plans for Rotary International. Additionally, we had the pleasure of learning about the past, present and future of our region from District Governors Elise Hereth (7150), Wendy Deis (7170), and Whitney Pangburn (7190). Lastly, I want to extend my heartfelt congratulations to Lizzy Martin, the upcoming President for the 2024-25 term. In my opinion, she is a true member of the Rotary royalty. Not only is her grandfather a Past District Governor (1991-92), but her father is also a Past District Governor (2012-13) and remains an active member of the Ithaca Rotary Club. Afgelopen weekend hebben de sympathieke leden van @rotary_antwerpen_heideland de handen uit de mouwen gestoken in leefgroep Hof van Delft. Samen met één van onze jongeren hebben zij de rustruimte van de leefgroep omgetoverd tot een rustige, veilige en huiselijke plek waar onze jongeren volledig tot rust kunnen komen. Projecten als deze zijn niet alleen van grote meerwaarde, maar hebben ook een positieve impact op de ontwikkeling van onze kinderen en jongeren. Samen met onze partners in de zorg proberen wij écht een verschil te maken. En wat ons betreft is dat zeker gelukt in Hof van Delft afgelopen weekend! Bourbon lovers, this one is for you! Goose Island Bourbon Country 2023 Release 023 Bourbon County release which include these 5 stout beers: 1. Bourbon County Brand Eagle Rare two-year reserve stout. Eagle Rare is a well-known bourbon brand produced at Buffalo Trace that has become more expensive and harder to find over the years. This beer was aged for two years in 10-year-old Eagle Rare barrels to impart notes of oak, toasted almond, and vanilla into the beer. 2. Angels Envy two-year cask finish stout This is the first ever cask-finish stout from Goose Island, and it was inspired by the bourbon produced by Louisville distillery Angel’s Envy. First the beer was aged in Angel’s Envy bourbon barrels for a year, then it was placed into ruby port barrels for an additional year to give it big notes of cherry, spice, and cocoa. 3. Bourbon County Brand Original stout This is the classic release, a high-ABV (14.6 and 14.1 percent) stout that was aged for about 12 months in bourbon barrels from Buffalo Trace, Heaven Hill, and Wild Turkey. Tasting notes include vanilla, cocoa, cherry, caramelized sugar, and almond. 4. Bourbon County Brand Bananas Foster stout Previously launched as a Chicago-only release in 2017, this beer will now be available nationwide. It was brewed with banana, cassia bark, and three different kinds of almonds to give it notes of cinnamon, nuts, and, of course, banana on the palate. 5. Bourbon County Brand Backyard stout Ten years ago Goose Island released its Backyard Rye, which served as the inspiration for this new beer. The stout was aged for a year in bourbon barrels and then finished and blended with three different kinds of berries: mulberries, boysenberries, and marionberries.
