89/100 "Lake" ... Blue Lake on North Stradbroke Island (Minjerribah) is a sacred body of water for the Quandamooka people. It is the home of a huge carpet snake spirit - jargon and as the lake is of cultural significance to the local indigenous, respectfully noone should swim in the lake. It is a bit of a hike through the bush to reach, but completely surrounded by natural Aussie bushland, it is peaceful and a lovely place to visit.
