EDUCATION ⤵️ Why do I insist on it having a place in the Bridal & Wellness industry? Let me take you right back to being at school, university, a course you’ve taken… learning, educating yourself, 9 times out of 10 means you go into something feeling prepared, an exam, an interview, a job role. ➡️ Preparation and that feeling of knowing what to expect eradicates that fear of the unknown, it makes you feel in control, it silences the panic and doubt in your head and it enables you to make informed and rational decisions. ➡️ Stress, and that feeling of fear, panic, doubt, overwhelm comes from a position of high emotion, its fight or flight mode, and to control this we need to implement techniques and behaviours that deal with it. ✋🏼 So for example working with someone prior to finding your suppliers, to understand what is important to you as a couple, your must haves and your desirables, and then understanding how much things cost within the realms of your wedding - enables you to make an informed choice, it lets you decide with confidence, it enables you to be decisive when choosing who to work with and why to work with them… based on your environment, measurable and your wants and outcomes! 🙌🏼 Same if you go dress shopping, again a highly emotive environment, walk into a boutique not having any sort of clue, not looking at what dresses the shop even stocks, the price points, the custom changes… throw opinions in there for good measure… it is going to feel uncomfortable and wildly stressful! 🤌🏼 So YES Education has a place, our new platform will house education across the board, from multiple industry specialists around their niche, their work and how different suppliers impact your day and plans! ✋🏼 I want you to plan with intent. If planning your wedding is bringing all types of stuff up that hurts or makes you wish it was over, keep reading this. Planning an event as significant as a wedding can open up wounds & reveal areas of ourselves that could use a little TLC. That's not a bad thing. It’s actually good! I used to be the type of woman who just pushed through the hard stuff and considered myself strong because I could. I was always stressed, had chronic anxiety, and my thoughts kept me from falling asleep at night. These were symptoms of something, but I thought it was normal.Just a part of life. I was settling with my own suffering. Don't be me. Feel better, sooner than later. I know it's not easy to face what causes us pain. To look at our own tendencies. It doesn't feel good. We can trick ourselves into believing that the problem is outside of us or just ignore how we feel entirely. We can say yes to ideas we hate, accept less than we for damn sure deserve, and be treated disrespectfully - But is that what you want for your life? Not likely... Taking the time to understand the source of your pain, the root of your frustrations, and then changing how you respond to it is not fun work, but it is empowering. So dig in, get your hands dirty. Ask yourself why your emotions are so intense. Get support! When your brain says it's because of them, your budget, or the non-stop decisions, challenge yourself. Those are steessors, yes - but they shouldn't make what could be a beautiful transition in your life story, gawd awful. What can you do to change this? I'm all for accountability, at least if it's coming from myself and not others. 🤣 So, ask yourself some questions: Are you prioritizing your well-being? Do you give yourself the breaks you desperately need? Are you speaking up for yourself? Do you ask for help? Bride, I want you to look back on this journey and be mesmerized by yourself. Not because you threw an epic wedding celebration but because you savored that journey and planted the seeds for the person you are becoming. You are worth any amount of work. You deserve to love this as much as you dreamed you would. And that concludes my pep talk. Love u. ❤️
