And just like that it’s May 🪻 April was a very hectic month. And to be honest my stress level has been pretty high the last few weeks. With Della tearing her ACL, surgery and recovery, it’s been stressful. I’ve been trying to entertain both her and Brax while not letting them play together so she doesn’t get hurt. Dealing with Brax’s random hunger strikes and pickiness with food. Raising 10 new baby chicks, and losing two, all the while taking care of the other 11 adult hens. Trying to clean up our new land since it was neglected for years- there’s endless amounts of weeds, thorns, poison ivy, glass and trash. Daily house cleaning since I can’t stand for the house to be a mess. And then working on orders for hours, trying to order more hardware, responding to the 10-30 messages a day as quickly as I can. working on and launching the Harry Potter collars while also designing over 12 new collars for the next two collections. Worrying that they aren’t good enough, comparing my shop to others, being paranoid that I’m not doing enough or not being quick enough. It’s been a lot. I don’t want you to feel bad for me, but I think it’s important to share what life looks like as a business owner. So when I’m not working on orders, these are all the things that I am doing😅 some days I can get a dozen orders made, but same days I can only get 3 or 4 done… and that’s okay. Im having to remind myself of that, to slow down and just do what I can that day 🤍 I’m thankful my customers and friends have always been so understanding and patient 🥹 so thank you all for being so awesome and supportive! A little look back at our time at Bushkill Falls—the Niagara Falls of Pennsylvania. For those of you who don’t know, I am obsessed with Pennsylvania. I love living here because we have it all—Philly, the Poconos, state parks, state forests, close to the shore. But being able to visit these mind-blowing natural waterfalls is in my top memories. What happens behind the scenes when traveling with your pet that you normally wouldn't share here? I asked you all if you wanted us to share a bit of reality, so here it is... Koda sometimes gets sick while we are away. And it sucks big time. This last time, he puked bile all over the back seat and tried to bury it, so he smeared it even more. I sent hubby away so that he could still catch sunrise while I dealt with the mess (yeah, we have everything we need to clean it up). Finished cleaning up Koda and the car, and we started walking. On the short walk to the lake. Koda stopped looking miserable. Yeap, there was more 😔 He was cold and looking sad, so I insisted and took him for a bit of a walk. He clearly felt better after. Not the news I wanted to share, but so many of you have been asking about Marley. We just met with the oncologist today and it’s not looking good. She has a stage 2, highly aggressive mast cell tumor. Basically means this is unpredictable and not the outcome we wanted. Luckily the vet has space and we will be heading in to get radiographs and ultrasounds tomorrow in the AM and it’s basically fingers crossed it hasn’t spread to her lymph nodes or organs. If it hasn’t spread we are looking probably worst case scenario at 1 year. If it has spread we are probably looking at 4 months. This is all worst case though and who knows she could be that dog that after chemo is totally fine… but I always try and prepare for the worst. It’s not fair to her, she had a shit start to life and I hope the humans that did what they did to her have karma on their asses, but just wish she wasn’t dealt this card. My bean…

Neri went back to the hospital yesterday for IV drugs and monitoring. In addition to her walking ability declining, her swallow reflex also decreased. She's doing about the same this morning, so the docs are having a powwow to decide how to proceed. Daffodil season 🏵 - Y'all inspired me with your early tulip farm adventures!! I got up early to get to these daffodils at Hubbard Park last Sunday, 04/21/2024. I am so happy we didn't wait to get photos with them. The park was so bright and vibrant with all of them around! I'm sure most of them are gone now. They bloomed 2 weekends ago, and we had frosty nights since, so... yeah 🤷♀️ Keva was being the ultimate diva that morning and decided she did not want to pose for any pictures in the flowers. Yet, the ones who normally try to avoid my camera or move prior to photos were being the models I've always dreamed of! 🤩 I asked Lakoda to sit where he is now and Zula magically went over to him to position herself naturally.
