Jsme hrdé na to, že již potřetí spouštíme program EWA - Empowering Women in Agrifood v ČR.🌱 Od roku 2020 jsme úspěšně podpořili dvacet startupů a nyní hledáme další deset. ✨ Proč je tento projekt tak důležitý? 🧐 1) Proč agrifood? 👉 Intenzivní zemědělské metody vedly k degradaci půdy a ztrátě biologické rozmanitosti. Více než polovina světové zemědělské půdy je nyní znehodnocena a bez radikálních změn je ohrožena naše schopnost produkovat dostatek potravin pro současné i budoucí generace. 2) Proč ženy? 👉 Podle studie z června 2020, kterou zadala Evropská unie, je podnikání klíčovou hybnou silou pro inovace a růst napříč společností. Bohužel, ženy stále zůstávají nedostatečně zastoupeny v oblasti agri-food a mají omezený přístup k financování. Drei Tage lang fand in Würzburg die gemeinsame Jahrestagung der Arbeitskreise der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Geographie zu "Agri-Food Geographies" und "Geographischer Handelsforschung" statt. Mit dabei gleich drei Absolvent*innen unseres Geographie-Masterstudiengangs - Hannah Arnold, Isabelle Dachs und Jan Dreier, die dort ihre Masterarbeiten zu Schokolade und der Vewertung von Nebenprodukten des Kakaoanbaus präsentierten. Auch Jana Rülke vom Institut für Geographie stellte ihre Forschung zum Kakaoanbau vor. These Centers seek to support a more resilient, diverse, and competitive food system by supporting producers with assistance to access local and regional supply chains and overcome barriers to market access, with a focus on underserved farmers, ranchers, and food businesses. Often, land-grant universities and other well-resourced, white-led institutions oversee these efforts, calling into question power dynamics in resource distribution.
