Chicago, our hometown. We haven’t headlined a venue here since August of 2023. Well, we’re getting back on the horse this March. A very large horse. We’re headlining @chopshopchi on SATURDAY MARCH 30th, and this is the biggest room we’ve played to date. 600 capacity so we’re told. We’re going for it, and since it’s been a long while, we’re hoping you guys can help us fill the joint. I have been in love with @dirtyhoneyband since I first saw them wrapping up soundcheck as the first band up at Pointfest here in St Louis back in 2019. I was supposed to see them last week in Bloomington, but unfortunately life got in the way. So I was incredibly glad I’d also bought a ticket to the St. Louis show, because there was NO WAY I was missing this. It may have been the last show of this leg of the Can’t Find The Brakes Tour, but you’d have never known it because they freaking knocked it out of the park. I has an incredible time, ran into old friends and made some new ones too. And I managed to snag a pick from @jsmolian 🎸❤️. We got a great mix of new music, my favorite Dirty Honey hits, a couple of covers (including my personal favorite, Prince’s Let’s Go Crazy), as well as the live premier of “Rebel Son”. The new album is called Can’t Find The Brakes, and you need to add it to your music collection. If you love rock music, this band is the real deal. @mac.saturn is by far my favorite “New Band Discovery” of the last year; and for someone who sees ALOT of new bands every year, that’s saying something. Clearly, @thestruts agree because much to my delight they’ve brought them back out for the 2nd leg of the Remember The Name Tour. But I knew this would be a match made in Heaven, way back when I saw Mac Saturn opening for Dirty Honey. Seeing these guys again last night in Columbia was exactly what I needed; I just wish they had more time to play.
