As a mom to an 8-year-old girl who is pretty much the best kid ever, if I do say so myself, I am often told that it’s about to get really hard. Mothers Day is around the corner and I can't stop thinking about all the beautiful Mama's we've had in the studio. Now that Lauren @theltdedit has two beautiful children, this moment before Max was born is so precious. It's funny, I almost didn't get maternity photos taken because I just felt so gross all the time, but at the last minute I thought I'd better do it before it was too late! I'm so lucky my dear friend @kristinlavoiephoto stepped in and created the only beautiful shots of me during my pregnancy! Now I can look at them and just appreciate how brief and transformative that moment was in my life! I think it’s because I remember so fondly the emotions I felt to leave my best friends since kindergarten and to also enter a whole new place where I could set forth to the path ahead. I recently photographed a special 8th grade class @srbchicago and my heart sings thinking about letting their wings fly. I photograph a few smaller schools every year but reach out for a one on one personal fine art studio session.
