Growing up in rural Virginia in a one income family, there weren't a lot of beach vacations (though I've had many as an adult). What we did have were summer days in the Shenandoah River, or gentle hikes in the mountains ending in hours of sandy creek splashing and minnow catching. There are a lot of fragrances out there that give off a beachy feel, and Sydney Rock Pool very much does, but it also has a little bit of a mountain river vibe that brings me back. We wore sunscreen at the river too! Sydney Rock Pool smells like limestone, clean spring water and sunshine to me. The actual list of notes includes minerals, coconut skin, sandalwood, driftwood, narcissus, frangipani, jasmine, sambac, seaweed, ambermax and sea salt. This has a clean sweetness that really does give coconuts and beaches, but the pure watery nature of the fragrance is something special. This is not another Soleil Blanc clone. This is a pure summer scent that I just want to live in. Longevity and sillage are definitely on the lighter side with this one, but I feel like if this were a beast, it would just be a completely different fragrance. I've been off to a good start this year for adding must-haves to my perfume collection. Today my Sephora sale package came, and in it was my @nestfragrances Balinese Coconut oil in travel size. When I sniffed this last year, I knew it was one I needed to have! With this being an oil, I think even the travel size will last me for ages! Balinese Coconut is a really fresh, sweet coconut scent that is perfect for layering. The notes are coconut, tiare flower, sea salt and musk. The coconut note is very creamy and sweetly lactonic, and the tiare and sea salt give this a solar beachy quality. Despite the beachiness, I think this is nice for layering with a big variety of fragrances, whether they be fresh, green or gourmand. The musky component just makes it melt into the skin and creates a perfect base for any summertime scent profile! @margotelena really is a favorite perfumer and maker of nice smelling things, and I'll honestly blind buy anything she puts out. This happened a couple of weeks ago when I spotted an Awaken Within No. 2 fragrance at my local TJ Maxx! It was actually on clearance, so I snatched it right up! This is a bright, simple white floral, which is typically not something I'd ever go for, and definitely not blind buy, but again, Margot Elena! The notes are orange blossom, jasmine, ozonic notes and neroli. There are definitely some indoles in here, especially in the opening and I don't love that, but it does get better in the dry down, and it is wearable. The fresh air notes really come through strongly and combine with the jasmine and neroli to make this kind of beachy and carefree. The orange blossom also adds a hint of citrus, which I'll always be happy about. I got this happy little surprise in the mail yesterday courtesy of @byrosiejane -a sample of their newest fragrance release, Missy! Missy has arrived on the scene just in time for warm weather, sunscreen, and long overdue adventures. Her most prominent note for me is the coconut which gives way gracefully to pineapple shortly after. Keeping those fruit-forward notes airy and afloat is tropical flower frangipani. Missy is a sweeter scent compared to most of byRosieJane’s catalog and out of personal preference, I don’t usually find myself reaching for sweet fragrances. However, this perfume makes me feel undeniably happy. It transports me back to my high school days when I would visit the beach with my best friend. When I smell this scent, I see us wrapped in a sandy, girlish embrace laughing maniacally at something that wasn’t that funny.. and in this moment, Missy is what my best friend smells like to me. Missy is pure, carefree summertime girlhood. All that to say, while this is not a perfume I personally might reach for, it is one that I would be thrilled to smell on someone else. Since purchasing a new washing machine in 2016, I had never cleaned out under in at my previous home. In moving out, I did clean under it, and it was pretty shocking how much stuff had fallen under there! Countless bobby pins and hair ties, 2 eyeshadow pallets, several other miscellaneous skincare and makeup items, and 3 perfumes! One of the perfumes was the classic @soldejaneiro Sol Cheirosa 62 EDP. I thought this had been lost forever, and in sniffing it again it's better than I remembered. Maybe spending 3-4 years under a washing machine adds a special type of maceration and development. Cheirosa 62 has always been a favorite of mine, and I don't think I've ever met anyone who doesn't like it. It's usually a compliment getter, especially when layered with other 62 scented products. This is caramel sweet, creamy and nutty, with the cozy tropical gourmand base. Longevity has always been an issue, but when layered with the oils, bum bum cream, and/or body mist, I can get 4-6 hours out of it. I will never not love this scent. I've looked and sniffed, and I don't think it's ever been successfully copied or duped. Continuing my journey through the @experimentalperfumeclub discovery set brings me to Jasmine Osmanthus. This fragrance features notes of jasmine, osmanthus, frangipani and mineral notes. While I have nothing against minerals, these white floral notes are ones I often avoid, so I was very wary going into this. The indoles of jasmine and frangipani and the overt softness of osmanthus usually isn't for me, but this blend really works. It is a bit beachy and tropical, but I get more floral ocean breeze than I do beachy sunscreen. It's somehow a little bit sweet, and that just makes it incredibly pleasant on my skin. The next scent from my @byfar_official discovery set is Daydream of a Love Trance. I don't really know what a love trance is, or what it might smell like, but this is essentially a ylang-ylang scent. Ylang-ylang can go a few different ways, smelling very vintage, very spa-like or very beachy. I tend to at least somewhat like it no matter which way it leans, but this scent is more in the beachy vein. Other notes in this scent include rose, anise, tuberose, jasmine, hazelnut, vanilla and white musk. It's really an interesting blend. It has some of that Soleil Blanc type DNA, and some indolic white floral, but it's a little bit warmer, sweeter and more gourmand (without being an actual gourmand). I think the only fragrance I've ever encountered where the travel size bottle is more interesting and lovely to look at than the full size is Alien Goddess from @muglerofficial. Ever since I first saw it, I wanted to have this in my collection, and I finally purchased it when it was on sale for Black Friday. I have always enjoyed Alien Goddess as a fresh, summery coconut scent. The crystalline alien artifact inspired bottle just gives it a little added mystery and fun. It isn't the most unique fragrance in my collection, but it's generally liked by anyone who smells it and it's a safe go-to for summer and vacations! It doesn't take very long into the cooler months before I'm ready for summer again, but I can get there at least in the form of scent. Today I'm trying Coconut Sun from @the7virtues, which is a great coconut scent that has me dreaming of summer vacations. I was afraid this would be another solar beachy Soleil Blanc dupe, and of course it's a little bit similar, but I think this is more of a standalone coconut scent. It reminds me a bit more of Lait de Coco or Balinese Coconut and doesn't have as much white floral as other scents in that beachy vein. The list of notes includes coconut water, citrus, frangipani, sea salt, jasmine, rose and vanilla. This is very creamy, yet fresh. The coconut water is the predominate note, but you do get the sweetness from the citrus and creaminess from the vanilla. I don't get a whole lot of floral notes. The only downside here is that performance is poor. I'd say this performs like a citrus cologne, and lasts about 1-2 hours. Today I'm trying the Solar Fleur "Joy and Bliss" scent from the @beingfrenshe line. Solar Fleur is kind of a washed out beachy floral. The notes are listed as bergamot, orange blossom, coconut orchids, sandalwood and musks. There are things I like here, but also something I don't love. The barest hint of cloying sweet floral keeps me from really loving this. I almost wonder if there's a frangipani or freesia in here that's not listed, because you often find that in a beachy floral, and I don't enjoy those notes in noticeable form. The scent overall is very light, which would make it good for layering. My scent of the day is Happy Hour from @anticafarmacista This is an absolutely stunning perfume. Like Sun Kissed (also in the discovery kit), Happy Hour has both a dominant citrus element, and a beachy element, and I think I like it even better. This is bright grapefruit, a hint of white floral and the slight shock of a cool breeze on a sunny day. A perfect end-of-summer fragrance! The official notes here are yuzu, coconut, ylang-ylang, green mango, lime zest, grapefruit, lychee and warm sand accord. I'm not familiar enough with yuzu to have picked that out in the beginning, but it makes sense that this is the very tart citrus burst in the opening along with the grapefruit. The first ten minutes of this fragrance experience is very cold in temperature and it absolutely vibrates with citrus. At the dry down though, it does warm up quite a bit and you get that sandiness. I'm actually reminded of the smell of my beach towel after I come in from a dip in the ocean. This is just really unique in terms of both citrus frags and beachy solar ones, and I love it. Summer is winding down, though of course I'm kind of in denial and hope it goes on and on. The next sample in my @anticafarmacista discovery set is Sun Kissed, which is a summer solar scent, so I should probably talk about it before the colder months take over! Sun Kissed has some similarities to other beachy solar scents, but this one also has a really pleasant citrus lilt you don't commonly get. It's a little bit similar to Lemon Island from Atelier Cologne, but it's more orange and less lemon. I don't see a full list of notes, but the description mentions citrus groves, orange blossom and honeysuckle, which all makes sense to my nose. The orange blossom does have a hint of indolic bitterness, but it's offset with the honeysuckle sweetness. This is a lovely, lovely scent. I do think it won't last, especially in summer heat, but citrus scents and solar scents just have to be reapplied. My scent of the day is Bahamas body mist from @bathandbodyworks. I picked up Bahamas during the semi-annual sale, so if it's still available it probably won't be for long. It was a re-release though, so it could come back again! This was a blind buy, as 80% of my Bath and Body Works purchases are, but during the sale when you can get mists for around $4-$5 it's always worth the risk. I've really enjoyed incorporating body mists into my layering routine lately! At first sniff, something about this hit me wrong, but upon trying it a few other times, I enjoy it. I was hoping for more of a banana scent to layer with my glorious Hempz Sugared Banana lotion, but this is more of a fresh, tropical Alien Goddess meets Pineapple type scent. I don't actually get much passionfruit, but I do get the green pineapple leaves and something airy and floral. Like many B&BW mists, its very sweet, but this has a watery, aquatic breeze nature that tones down the sweetness. It might still work to layer with the banana lotion, but I think this would work better layered with aquatic, green or coconut scented products. My scent of the day is the @clinique My Happy Lily of the Beach. Lily of the Beach is kind of a fun name, though I wonder how often lilies grow on the actual beach.. I'm sure it's more of a metaphor. This is kind of a solar floral scent. It smells a little bit synthetic and plastic, but it also smells like sunscreen and floral. The list of notes in here include bergamot, solar lily, ylang ylang, tiare, frangipani, coconut, sandalwood, vanilla and amber. This is first and foremost a floral scent to my nose. I definitely get the ylang-ylang, as well as the other florals. I don't get anything particularly sweet in this, and the coconut is light, though detectable. It's definitely a beachy floral, but it's not like other beachy florals I've tried. It's not the kind of floral that plays well on my skin, likely from the frangipani, which is a note that usually does not work for me. One thing Victoria's Secret seems to do well is breezy tropical vacation scents. Very Sexy Sea, Very Sexy Oasis and Bombshell Sundrenched are all different and all truly enjoyable. I was excited to try the new Bombshell Isle since the track record here is good. I'm not disappointed! Bombshell Isle is a breezy coconut water vacation fragrance. Bombshell Isle offers notes of ocean air, pearl peony and island coconut. It is fairly reminiscent of Alien Goddess from Mugler, so if you like that, you'll enjoy this. It's lovely and refreshing and sweet. I've found myself reaching for it several times since I picked it up a couple of weeks ago. The longevity is not the best, but since I got the travel size it's easy to toss in my purse for reapplication. My scent of the day (or yesterday) is Coco Fleur from @nettenyc. This is kind of a beachy solar scent in the vein of Beach Walk or Soleil Blanc, but this one is more unique and less of a dupe than many others I've smelled. To my nose, this is almost entirely white floral, to where it could almost be categorized as a floral scent, rather than beachy. The notes here are bergamot, pink pepper, ylang-ylang, orange flower, ambrette, coconut milk and sandalwood. The ylang-ylang and orange blossom really is the heart of this scent. I definitely do get the tropical, creamy coconut and some fresh air, which is why I still wanted to categorize this as a beachy fragrance, but you will have to really appreciate ylang-ylang and orange blossom to enjoy this scent. I tend to really like ylang-ylang, but don't love orange blossom, so I'm a little on the fence with this. It's definitely not too indolic, and it doesn't blend with my skin in a negative way, but it isn't going to be my favorite blend of all time. Yesterday I layered it with some other coconut fragrance products, and I enjoyed the result. My scent of the day is Papaye Tropique from @legourmandbeauty This is a Hair and Body Mist from the line. I have their Chai Épicé in this format and really love it so I thought this would be worth a try. It was a blind buy from TJ Maxx because it was in one of the plastic security cases, but I love papaya, and I generally like almost everything from Le Monde Gourmand, so I took the risk. Unfortunately I have to say I was a little disappointed. It's not completely a dud (and it's certainly still worth the $10 I paid for it), but it's not quite what I was hoping for. This definitely has a tropical Victoria's Secret body mist type vibe. The notes here are pineapple, papaya, mandarin, violet and sandalwood. The pineapple note is more notable than the papaya, though papaya has a less distinct flavor as a fruit than pineapple does. Papaya is an almost creamy, melon-like fruit, and I wish there were more of that element here. I also get a little citrus in the blend, but I don't really pick up on any floral or sandalwood. I think if I did, that would provide more of a grounded base which would make this less of a syrupy fruit bomb. I do like pineapple, and I'll probably reach for this over the summer, but I'll be layering it with other things to add a little bit of sophistication. Today I'm trying out Sun-phoria from @fineryfragrance This is a beachy perfume in the vein of Soleil Blanc, Beach Walk, etc. As with all the other Fine'ry scents I've tried, it's not an actual dupe, but it is very similar. The notes for this one are listed as orange flower, manoi blossom and amber wood. It's very sunscreen-like and has an almost chemical element. It doesn't have any coconut, ylang-ylang or jasmine that you often find in these beachy scents, so it's less sweet and fresh than some of it's cousins. It leans more woody-floral, and after the dry down, there is something a little bit musty and masculine that I don't love. This type of perfume is so ubiquitous on the market that I am glad to find these sorts of subtle differences, but it's not one I'd ever purchase. It is an affordable alternative to many of your niche and designer beachy fragrance options, but it's not the only one, so I definitely recommend giving this a sniff before purchasing! My scent of the day is Balinese Coconut oil from @nestfragrances I've enjoyed the other oils from Nest, especially the Seville Orange, so I was happy to try this one. I'm not a huge, huge coconut fan, but when it's done right I can really enjoy it. This one is done pretty well! It's a fresh, green, tropical coconut that isn't too sweet. The other notes include tiare flower and musk. It's a lovely blend. I think this would be great for layering with almost anything to give it a more tropical, fresh vibe. I layered with my Bum Bum Cream and Brazilian Crush the other day and it was really nice. Next I want to try layering it with something really green to see how that does. Overall this is nice alone, or layered, and in my first two wearings it lasted all day (and I didn't even use more than a drop!)! My perfume of the day is Phloria from @phlur. Why does every brand have to have a scent like this? Why can't we be unique and different. Do you like Beach Walk, Soleil Blanc, Alien Goddess, Vanilla Vibes, Sunkissed Hibiscus, Sun Saint, etc? If so, you'll like Phloria. When I sniff these scents side by side, I can always recognize small differences.. so they're not all dupes, but they are siblings that look alike. Phloria seems heavier on the floral, and doesn't have coconut and sea air that some of the others have. The official list of notes includes bergamot, lemon, wet greens, cyclamen, ylang-ylang, golden gardenia, jasmine sambac, tuberose, vanilla, skin musk, sandalwood, ambrox and cedar. It's definitely a pleasant, likable, beachy floral. I would never purchase this in a full size because I have Beach Walk, and I've always been fairly partial to that particular blend of beachy floral. I'm just tired of so many perfume houses releasing such similar fragrances. Perfume 361 of 365 is Salt Air from @skylar Despite the fact that most Skylar fragrances have disappointed me, I keep wanting to try them all! Salt Air is no exception. Salt Air features notes of sea notes, sea salt, green coconut, mineral notes, frangipani, jasmine, sand, seagrass, driftwood and sandalwood. I was a little afraid this was just going to be another Coconut Cove, which isn't a bad scent, but isn't special to me either. There are some heavy similarities, like coconut and jasmine. There are differences as well. Salt Air is a little breezier, less sweet, less floral. I still kind of feel like this is a beachy coconut scent at its heart. It's a little bit more traditional seaside than tropical beach, but it's still very coconutty. Perfume 336 of 365 is Black Salt Vanilla from @ultabeauty So I knew Ulta had some store-branded body care items, but I didn't know they had any fragrances beyond their body mists. When I saw a travel size for $6.25 on the website, I blind-ordered it! Black Salt Vanilla sounded nice just from the name, though Ulta nor Fragrantica lists any notes for it. This boils down to being a beachy style fragrance like Vanilla Vibes, Beach Walk, Soleil Blanc, etc. I would imagine that there are notes of jasmine, coconut, sea salt and vanilla. I definitely didn't need another fragrance like this since I already have several, but it was a small gamble! Black Salt Vanilla probably has the friendliest price tag I've seen, so if you want Beach Walk or Soleil Blanc, but they're out of your price range, this would be a great alternative! Longevity on this doesn't seem great, but it's actually not on most of these types of fragrances. Perfume 261 of 365 is Alien Goddess from @muglerofficial I like, but don't love the original Alien, and even though I know I tried Alien Goddess soon after it's release, I didn't remember it all, so today is like trying it fresh and new! Its a good choice for the last official day is summer! At first sniff, Alien Goddess appears to be a fairly beachy fragrance, though it doesn't quite fit into that family of coconut/jasmine/ylang-ylang cousins that all smell alike. It does have notes of coconut and jasmine, as well as bergamot, heliotrope, vanilla and cashmeran. This one feels a little more sunbaked than the average beachy fragrance. The additional vanilla and cashmeran warms it up nicely. It's also clean and fresh, and unless you don't like coconut fragrances, I think it would be pretty easy to enjoy for most people. I like it, and I even think I wouldn't mind owning a travel size (I love the crystalline look of the travel size bottles!). I like that it's a little different from the average beachy scent, and it might go a little bit better for wearing for a night out or something like that. Perfume 254 of 365 is Vacation by @vacationinc I almost bought Vacation a few months ago, but talked myself out of it. When it went on sale for Labor day, I knew it was time! There's a few days left of summer, and I'm going to try and enjoy every second of it! Wearing a fragrance like this helps enhance that enjoyment! Vacation features notes of petitgrain, coconut milk, coconut water, banana, solar notes, pineapple, bergamot, musk, swimsuit lycra, pool water, plastic and sea salt. It's so fun! It's reminiscent of being at the public pool as a child and walking by all the cool high school girls who are laying on their NKOTB towels and dousing themselves in Hawaiian Tropic tanning oil. It's a vintage sunscreen scent with a healthy dose of banana and nostalgia. It is not really similar to the Physician's Formula Butter Paradise as I had been thinking a week or so ago. It's a little bit more sophisticated and layered, and the coconut notes hit differently. I will also comment that longevity is pretty good on Vacation! Perfume 244 of 365 is Butter Paradise from @physiciansformula This perfume is kind of a different one because it's a hard-to-find limited release scent from a makeup brand rather than a traditional perfume house. That being said, I can fully endorse all of the Physicians Formula butter products (other than the lippies which I don't love), so picking up one of the sets that has this fragrance is highly recommended by me if you can find it! Butter Paradise is an EDT, and I'd describe it as a sunscreen tropical beach scent. I actually wish I had the Vacation by Vacation perfume so I could compare them (I smelled that one a while back, but I don't remember it well enough to compare). There's definitely coconut, sunscreen and maybe some pool chemicals coming through in Butter Paradise, and I love it! It is the perfect fragrance for a beach vacation or a day by the pool. It does smell fairly synthetic, but I kind of think it should. This isn't trying to be a sophisticated designer fragrance, it's more of a call back to the fun vintage sunscreen we all used as a kid, with maybe some tropical sweet coconut thrown in. The bottle has only ever come in a 15ml size, and I wish I had purchased backups or that they came out with another larger bottle! I've been making my little bottle last for a while! It features notes of coconut, lime, bergamot, mandarin, ginger, ylang-ylang, jasmine, hibiscus, white rum, sugar cane, and musk. It is very much a lime and coconut alcoholic beverage to my nose. Maybe Moscow Mule plus coconut? It's almost too coconutty to me because heavy coconut is something I have to be in the mood for to eat or drink, and I think it's kind of the same for the perfume. Despite the floral notes, this is more gourmand than it is beachy floral, so it's definitely not an everyday fragrance for me. It'd be the type of scent I'd love to have along on a beach vacation! Perfume 234 of 365 is @Soldejaneiro X Anitta Who knew I had so many summery fragrances! Summer is my favorite season, and I hate seeing it wind down. I'll be clinging to the warm weather and its fantastic fragrances as long as I can! The Sol de Janeiro X Anitta collab is an amazing tropical fruit gourmand summer scent. It features notes of passion fruit, coconut water, orchid, honey, jasmine, vanilla and patchouli. This is not your everyday run of the mill beachy scent. This is a lush tropical island loaded with sweet juicy fruit trees! The passion fruit note comes off very pineapple to me, which I don't mind (the two fruits do have some similarities and the two flavors are often combined, like in Starbucks Passion drink). The way it blends with the coconut and vanilla is very pina colada in nature. It warms up with the dry down, and it becomes a little less tropical fruit brunch, and more cozy passion cocktail at night. I don't get much of the patchouli, which I'm actually glad about, but I think it's working in the background to bring in a little warmth in the dry down. This is not my favorite Sol de Janeiro fragrance mist, but it's gorgeous and worth having in the collection for sure. I love it for a summer day! Perfume 233 of 365 is Sun Saint from @pinrosescents. Catching up on my challenge with a second perfume of the day! Sun Saint is Pinrose's version of the beachy fragrance. It features notes of lime, yuzu, eucalyptus, mandarin orange, sea salt, cashmere musk, violet, coconut and sandalwood. Looking at the notes, you'd think this would be more of a bright citrus beach scent, more in the vein of Atelier's Lemon Island or Pacific Lime, but at first sniff, coconut and floral are the most prominent notes to me. After wearing it for a few minutes, I do get a little bit of lime, and it's a very happy, sunny fragrance to my nose. I just love how bright yuzu is, so I wish I could get a little bit more of that citrus joy! Sun Saint is still primarily creamy coconut and white floral, perhaps most similar to Coconut Cove from Skylar. I don't know why so many companies came out with these beachy fragrances that smell so similar to each other (there are differences, but they're mostly subtle to my nose)! I feel like the longevity on this one in particular is maybe a little less than great, so I'll stick with my Eu de Soleil Blanc and Beach Walk for now. Perfume 227 of 365 is Eu De Soleil Bland from @tomfordbeauty Summer is winding down (cue the tears), so I should discuss some of these ultimate warm weather fragrances before it's gone. There are so many beachy fragrances on the market, and they all smell so similar. Eu de Soleil Blanc is one of my favorites from this category. It features notes of bitter orange, neroli, citron, pistachio, bergamot, cardamom, pink pepper, petitgrain, caraway, tuberose, orange blossom, ylang-ylang, jasmine, and galbanum. The blend smells very similar to Beach Walk, Sunkissed Hibiscus, Vanilla Vibes, etc, but the ylang-ylang note hits me perfectly, and the beachy blend has a sun-baked nature that adds richness and sophistication to differentiate it from its cousins. I also think it has very slightly better longevity than some of the competitors as well. Perfume 217 of 365 is Coconut Cove from @skylar Skylar is not a favorite perfume brand for me, and despite trying several one one has been enjoyable so far. I had heard good things about Coconut Cove, and today I got to try it! It's not as coconutty as I was expecting. To me, it's much more green and white floral than it is coconutty, and it's trying to be similar to so many other "beachy" fragrances like Soleil Blanc, Sunkissed Hibiscus, Beach Walk. Coconut Cove features notes of bergamot, cardamom, hibiscus, lemon, coconut, jasmine, gardenia, lush greens, ambrox, coastal wood, heliotrope and vanilla orchid. It's a lot going on there! I don't get any spice or citrus, and while it does have some sweetness, it is much more tropical floral than anything else to my nose. Coconut Cove is clean and fresh, and very beachy and fun. The longevity is very poor.. it didn't last me through a quick trip to the doctor and grocery store, though I only applied 5-6 sprays. There's not a lot to complain about here, but since I already have Beach Walk and Soleil Blanc in my collection, I don't think I'd really ever need this one. Perfume 212 of 365 is Copper Coconut Sands from @bathandbodyworks. I've been out all day running errands and going to an appointment, and I played a round of disc golf. For the first part of my day, Cheirosa 62 sunscreen oil was my only fragrance. I'm going to spend the rest of the afternoon in the pool, so I wanted a fragrance appropriate for the pool. The fine fragrance mist in Copper Coconut Sands was perfect for this mood! This is one I picked up during the semi-annual sale, and it's probably discontinued at this point. The notes are composed of sun-kissed coconut, soft orchid petals and creamy sandalwood. It's perfectly sun-toasted coconut! It's very sweet and coconut creamy, in a way I really like. It is possible to be too coconutty to my nose, and this one doesn't go too far. Perfume 173 of 365 is Lemon Island from @ateliercologne. Lemon Island is Atelier's verison of a beachy vacation perfume. It is in the same family as Beach Walk, Soleil Blanc, Sunkissed Hibiscus, etc. This one does have a little bit of a lemon citrus kick that makes it unique from some of the others. Officially the notes are lemongrass, jasmine, and vanilla. My brain gets a little bit of fresh air and coconut from this, even if those notes aren't present. I was in the mood for a summery fragrance today, and this one absolutely fit the bill! Despite not enjoying jasmine, I often do in these types of fragrances! Perfume Day 130 of 365 is Sunkissed Hibiscus from @Nestfragrances. I would describe this fragrances as a tropical, airy floral. It features notes of coconut, frangipani, tuberose, gardenia, orange blossom and amber. It is reminiscent of many other beachy, tropical fragrances, but a bit more floral. I love the fresh, coconut breeziness of this, just like I love Beach Walk or Soleil Blanc, but after the dry down, the white floral stands out a little bit more to my nose, and I don't love that so much. I always want to love a fresh floral, but tuberose doesn't agree with me and orange blossom can be iffy. I do really like this fragrance, but when I'm in the mood for something like this, I'd be more likely to reach for Beach Walk or Soleil Blanc because it is similar, but doesn't have a much white floral.
