Bram Stoker lived at number 19 Buckingham Street, on the junction with Killarney Street, in the north inner city of Dublin from ages 11 to 17; Stoker’s own birthplace was not far away at 15 Marino Crescent, Clontarf. -New Zealand🚐 離開Wānaka 準備前往Queenstown 來到水果小鎮Cromwell 本來想說可以買些水果放車上沿路吃 結果發現大部分都比超市還貴 最後只買了草莓 結果吃起來也普普 反觀台灣水果真的強 種類又多又讚 克倫威爾小鎮是19世紀淘金熱潮時興起 歷史街區的部分只能徒步 保留了許多當時的歷史建築 散起步也是很舒服 沿途還會再經過另一個淘金小鎮-Arrowtown 這邊的話有一個完整當時華人礦工居住的環境 走在箭鎮的主要道路上 兩旁都是一些既復古又現代的房屋 郵局外觀也很漂亮 雖然裡面的阿姨因為我們買郵票猶豫不決 看起來有點不耐煩 可能要下班了 但這個小鎮也是很歐式 走起來也很愜意 這兩個小鎮都非常適合花點時間來走走 體會當時淘金黃金時期所帶來的人潮以及文化 #cromwell #arrowtown #buckinghamstreet #newzealand #roadtrip

皇后鎮結束後繼續向北走，第一站來到淘金小鎮-劍鎮，吃了網路推薦的鹹派，雖不是很符合華人的胃，倒也不難吃，只是期待太高了，又或是這趟旅程的大廚太多了，自己煮的菜色口味更加好吃。 還到了電影魔戒首部曲取景地點-劍河，彷彿精靈公主騎著白馬載著受傷的佛羅多就在我眼前，也看到還有一些人帶著像是淘金的裝備往劍河前進，可見淘金致富的夢依然存在！ #arrowtown #arrowtownbakeryandcafe #buckinghamstreet #arrowrivertrail

What started as a basic back yard space has now been transformed into a therapeutic community space for children, families and adults experiencing trauma and grief. This work would not have been possible where it not for the collective efforts of the staff at #Barnardos #Dublin1 and @dublincitycouncil #centralareaoffice, local & corporate volunteers and contractors. "Two of the most interesting features in the street are the two #doorways forming the entrances to two houses now numbered 17 and 18, on the east side, near the lower or river end. No. 17 is said to have been a house built for one of the #DutchessesOfNewcastle. On the first floor is a good deal of panelling, a #CarvedFireplace in the front room, and a #boudoir or closet leading out of the smaller room in the back. 230312✏️ 前一天到Queenstown前先去了Cromwell 把比較近的 Arrowtown 留到隔天 有點可惜 因為星期天才有農夫市集 從QT開車到 Arrowtown 大概25分鐘 這裡最有名的季節是秋天🍁 樹林在周遭的山坡上漸次轉紅變黃 讓這座古色古香的淘金小鎮更有風情 好喜歡 Arrowtown 圖書館旁邊的黃色楓樹 大部份店家都集中在 Buckingham St 和 Ramshaw ln 上（周圍都是停車區） 箭鎮保有許多一兩百年的老建物 包含銀行 旅館 咖啡廳 金飾店 藝廊 郵局 住家 也有些變成不動產 藥妝店 紀念品店 接手經營 Chinese Settlement 遺址步行3分鐘能抵達 但那是段極為艱辛的故事 1880年代 來自廣東的移民為了討生活 冒險渡船來到寒冷的紐西蘭南島淘金 如果能攢到當時的100紐西蘭鎊 就相當於在中國20年的收入 語言不通 人數弱勢 居住在又小又黑的矮房裡 現在看到的房子是模擬重建的 裡面還貼春聯 沿途有雙語看板介紹淘金歷史和一些人物 房子的部分大約15-20分鐘能看完 也能順著河流繼續健行 尋找魔戒場景 離開前到Arrowtown Bakery買了新的麵包 於是把前兩天剩下的Rolls分給麻雀打Rugby 🏉 餐包(Roll)在超市買通常都是6/9/12顆一包 #arrowtown #buckinghamstreet #nztravel #箭鎮

We are plumbers now! 🔧 The old "shit pipes" for the washing machine and dishwasher decided to leak into the cellar on Sunday 🤦♀️ Everything was brought up and dried, new pipes bought and all fitted by Monday afternoon! 💪 thats how we roll!
