โขJOEY & DEEDEE ARE IN THE U.K. AND NEED A FOREVER HOME ๐ฑ๐ซถโจโข Sometimes we have people ask us here in the U.K. to find forever homes for cats whose adopters can no longer provide a home for them. Sadly for Joey & DeeDee their adopters can no longer provide a home for them. They are a bonded sibling pair who need to find a forever home together. However itโs great news for whoever is going to be lucky enough to adopt them! ๐ Joey is the larger cat with the white on his forehead and DeeDee is the smaller cat with the socks on her paws ๐ฅบ They were both on 5 September 2022, so are two years old in September 2024. The adopter who adopted them when they were young kittens has said they are always chilled together and they LOVE to play and chase eachother. They will come and sit on their humans laps but are equally happy in their own beds. They are also very good with children. The cats are well loved but unfortunately their owners situation has changed and they are no longer able to provide them loving home. The adoption fee for the pair is ยฃ200. Both cats are mircochipped, neutered, and receive regular flea and worm treatment. They have been for their vet check ups and are both healthy! Honey is estimated to be around 4 years old. We met her last week and she is adorable, extremely sweet and delicate. She is very calm, who is very affectionate to both humans and other cats. She is very curious, low energy and polite. She cannot wait to find her forever home. Honey sometimes coughs lightly due to a lasting affect from the cold she had when she was rescued, however she is such a happy cat. She also has a visual impairment in her one of her eyes but does not require any special care for either of these. She would happily be indoors only or with a safe outdoor access. Her mum was quickly adopted in Germany and Tiger-Lily was left in the shelter. Tiger Lily is 10 months old and is such a sweetheart. Also, you can't tell, but I totally did this whole workout in my bedroom slippers. The vets contacted our partner shelter @carefordogsro to ask if they would take her to find a home for her - they obviously said yes! Buffy is estimated to be around 8 years old. Sheโs had a very hard life. She was found on the streets by the person who left her in the extreme cold weathers and in a really bad way. Luckily for Buffy, she has received so much love and medical attention, that she is now at the shelter and thriving! Buffy is full of energy, she is so happy to be out of the vets and in a shelter environment. She is so curious to explore everything around her. She is super cat friendly and completely loves humans. She sits and stares at you until you invite her for a cuddle ๐ฅบ Buffy is incredibly loving, always on the move and the team have said she is a wonderful oldie! โข DAY 3 AT THE SHELTER ๐๐ค๐ป๐ฑโข Itโs such a build up to plan a trip to Romania with the team, that you donโt think about what it will be like when you leave. Having spent 3 solid days getting to know each cat and kitten at the shelter, assessing them, building bonds with them and giving them as much love as possible, it was so so difficult to leave. Their little faces looking at us as we leave to travel back to the U.K. to continue trying to find forever homes for them all. We cannot stress it enough, cats in Romania are not looked upon as pets or even worthy of love. This trip has proved this even further to us, these cats do not stand a chance of finding safe forever homes in Romania. This is why we work tirelessly to find them homes here in the U.K. All the cats are so unique in their personalities and their markings, they are desperate to have their own family who will be able to match the level of love they somehow still have towards humans. We have so many kittens and young cats who are full of energy and all they want is to grow up in a safe forever home. We have adult cats who have had to endure the harsh streets for years, fighting for survival after being unlucky and being born in Romania. Then we have the longest standing resident cats, Effie, Cleo, Kiki, Oscar and Jasmine- our hearts break for them. They are still on their journey to trusting humans again. We are desperately looking for experienced cat owners who could provide a safe home with a lot of patience and passion for helping one of these cats feel safe around humans.
