From my interview with @curtmuenchen magazine (translated into english): Tim: How do you approach your compositions? Do you only work with synths or do you sometimes create songs on the piano or guitar? Panic Girl: I usually go straight to my synthesizer. It is definitely my main instrument, even though I've had piano and guitar lessons since I was a child. Sometimes I also go straight to my DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) on the computer, especially when I compose for my day job at the public radio station. I don't always have that much time for the compositions and there I have my tried and tested tools, where I know exactly what to use to get a certain sound. It's often faster to work in the DAW. When it comes to Panic Girl, I usually prefer to start with my modular synthesizer. It's very inspiring, because sometimes I don't know what sound I will get out of it when I start. I like to be surprised, either by myself or the device.
